On one side Chelsea has Zhirkov and Ashley Cole, on the other they have Ivanovic, Bosingwa and Ferriera.
When Bosingwa is back from injury, Ivanovic will be benched... he is definitely not bench material. If Ancelotti favors Ivanovic then Bosingwa will be benched who is also first team material. Ferriera is bench material.
One of Ivanovic or Bosingwa will be pissed soon, particularly when Ivanovic has proven himself to be very good. Taking the benched one away should not be very difficult. Anyone of those can easily get regular first team play in Juve, Milan, United, City, Pool and the likes.
Chelsea has Ferriera as back up anyway in addition to some rising youngsters.

Thing is, while neither of those is bench material and Ivanovic has become a very good RB, he's not only our 1st (or 2nd) choice rb, but also our 3rd choice CB, i expect atleast one of Alex, Terry or Bosingwa to fall with injury at some point through the season (Alex is already injured). so Branislav will get playing time anyway, be it as CB or RB, same goes for Bosingwa as he will play RB while Ivanovic covers CB. Imo Ferreira should gtfo. There's no rising "RB" in our squad, Van Aaanholt is a LB and Bruma is our 4th choice CB.
After losing Carvalho and the rest of the players we offloaded last season, i just don't see us letting one of those go (unless an unrefusable offer comes in), specially having an already thin squad.
