Tiago is leaving Madrid in the summer.

I always liked him and I still do, but I don't want him with a bad atmosphere around him. It's bad for him and it's bad for Juve.
Hope we can sell him for a reasonable price.

I don't understand why people put Marchisio in the starting XI. Some other player would improve our play drastically if it wasn't him.

From what I've seen (and I've seen a lot) he's very inconsistent and his play is not noticeable, nor he adds much quality. Reminds me of Zanetti without long passes. Invisible soldier in other words, but not someone who deserves to be a starter. Very good back up but other than that I don't like his style. That being said, maybe some other coach would pull the best out of him but Ciro, Zac and Del Neri surely couldn't do such.
agreed 100%, mr dule...as several of us have been saying for a while now.

I really hope were in for a surprise this summer, but we have been promised champions every season since serie b and look how things turned out.

Another CL-less season could prompt our management to shuffle things up. Any1 who follows North American sports can cite examples of teams purging themselves of their roster and rebuilding after many years of disappointment. In those cases, no1 is untouchable. In football, since transfer fee's are involved, the possibilities are scarier, since instead of freeing salary cap space to rebuild, you need actual cash to sign the players to begin with, meaning your most valuable assets are up for sale at the right price.

If Madrid's interest in Chiellini is serious and they make a huge offer, I have no doubt our management will sell.

Even though he should be 1 of the pillars of the squad, and despite his status as a fan favourite, the fact is we don't have enough money to strengthen our weak spots and fund all the dream formations in this thread (especially without CL, a season that will finish with a big financial loss, and €49.5m in options likely to be exercised). If we really intend to sign 4 "champions", expect some sacrifices.

If David Luiz, who according to wiki had 83 league appearances with Benfica and 5 with Brasil, cost €25m, we will receive a big pay off for Chiellini. Madrid paid around €30m for Pepe from Porto, and his reputation at the time was not as Chiellini's is now.

Since we don't need to sell to survive like the Portuguese clubs, and since serie a, despite its downturn, is tougher than the Portuguese league, it stands to reason that Chiellini, who has more appearances for both club and country, should cost at least €40m.

Apply the above to Buffon as well, who for me, would be an even tougher pill to swallow.
Why do people assume we do not have decent $ to spend??? I thought that our finances were one of the most solid accounts in serie A, and also likely to be one of the first 'big clubs', other than Arsenal, who will be completely capable of adhering to the new financial rules coming into force 2012?...we have spent a lot of money each of the last few seasons, so why would we stop now??? the summer before our new cash cow stadium is put to work, we spend little on a team which is 7th in serie a...i doubt it. its less a case of a lack of funds, and massively a case of HOW THE MONEY WILL BE SPENT...

and @cur...i agree there have been a fair few glimpses, but nothing more. and the thing is, claudio has had so many games, in the starting XI...and failed to gain any consistency at all. i remember deschamps often seemed hardly involved, but studying closer, he made tackle after tackle after tackle, laid the ball of simply, then moved back into the shadows...marchisio is not like that, different position of course, but still, he doesnt drif in and out, he seems to either do something wicked, or do absolutely nothing...if we had a great team, we could afford one played drifting in and out, but we dont. we do not have the luxury of anyone in the starting XI whose presence is often completely ghost like.

@kyle...what do you mean 'trying to finance'??? its already financed. we have players to sell, momo, tiago ( who i read on tuttojuve may be coming home..hohohoohoho), iaquinta, martinez, toni, brazzo, grosso, manninger...and various loan players we can sell half of, or all off...take into account the wages saved by even giving some of the players away on a free, though we will definitely get something for momo and martinez, likely something, a million maybe, for vinnyCenzo...perhaps i have it all wrong. but the club would be absolutely insane to move into a new stadium with a team lacking any stars but buffon and chiellini (who some of you think could be sold...I dont), and a 63 year old DP....Blanc seems to understand financial matters expertly. we will invest big i am certain, speculate to accumulate...its the only way! but when you bear in mind that we could bring giovinco back, solve half of our left wing problem, bring ekdal and marrone back and let Momo go...maybe bring immobile back, to see how he fares as with the other youngsters, early summer pre season...it wouldnt be much to expect heavy investment on left back/right back and a new offensive marquee signing.

Why would we do that?
they knew that the team this year would be at very best, in a major transitional phase, a lot of risks were taken, but as loans...implying either saving money was the priority, or putting a team together who COULD improve upon last year, but witihout cementing their registrations at our club, as we only needed them for a year, unless they truly excelled? not quite the same as 'throwing one season'...if we had any true expectations of doing brilliantly this year, after del neri's showing in the europa league, which was pathetic, more noise would have been made from the boardroom about FAILURE...i dont think marotta expected us to do as badly as we have done, but then neither did he expect a push for lo scudetto...bring down the average age, get rid of some dead wood, start cleaning up secco's horrible mess...those were his objectives. and rightly, abut painfully so...lets hope those jobs are well underway now, and dont take up another season to improve/fix...

exactly, cur..our debts are minscule compared to others. they are expected and have been taken well into account with our financial forecasting...despite this debt, the in depth reports i have read...the main one being on swiss rambler i recall...we are in a VERY healthy position financially, presently, and especially when theuefa fair finacial play rulings come into force...we wont need to be begging for huge illegal injections of $ from owners/investors, as the stadium should bring in a huge revenue...its that stadium with all its functions, many of which are NOT football focused, but other commercial enterprises, which will allow us to spend consistently big each season...unlike most other clubs in the top flight...it is OUR STADIUM. if there is one thing that Blanc has done extremely well with at juventus, its our finances...why lose faith in him now?

Do you guys really think the Fair Play rules will come into effect or be impossible to by-pass with some technical bullshit? I'd love for that to be true but it all seems so suspect?

They are definitely going to happen. I doubt they'll have any real effect on big clubs though.
Yeah, that's what I'm concerned with. They'll basically just stop new ManCities and Chelseas from sprouting up but will also cause an unbreakable group of top teams. I'd like to see a draft sort of thing where the lowest teams get the highest rated youngster or something.
