When we have to fix so many problems, we are planning to sell Melo? I mean, WTF?

Mascherano is our no.1 target since Bastos is already 'here'.

I'm just wondering if Bastos being 'here' eliminates the possibility of getting Cissokho and Sanchez? Cissokho coz Lyon won't sell them both to us, given that they have a CL season coming up again. And Sanchez, coz Bastos would come as LW not LB. I'm seeing Sanchez play out wide, in a 442, 433 and 4231.

We'd rule out Cissokho. But depends on our plans and new formation. In case Spalletti comes to play 4-2-3-1 we'd probably try to get Sanchez.

Even if that is the case, how are we gonna deploy Bastos and Sanchez in that formation? Would Bastos then play LB? I'm seeing both of them overlap and reduce their individual effectiveness in our overall play. Also if thats happening then we're hurting ourselves not going for a more stellar option, and more importantly wasting the non EU on a mere utility player in such a scenario.

Bastos would be AML and Sanchez AMC, I don't see overlapping. Or if Bastos is a left back, same thing. I think it would work but at this point those moves look like a wet dream.

There's alot of talk of Sanchez and I don't blame anybody, who wouldn't want him to bolster our squad, it's just sad to even think this possibility when there's links of him being offered 35 Million from a Anonymous club from England and no links to Juve; instead we have links lately to Berbatov which I guess isn't that bad but we will start that out with a loan...

Would be interesting to watch. Dunno why I'm feeling Sanchez would work better on the flank to complement Krasic. But wet dream indeed. Jeez. Something Marrotta is not used to having ;)

Dunno, Sanchez is amazing behind the striker but he's also very good as right winger. I don't think I've ever seen him as a left winger.
