Well his worth is a matter of opinion, how he would line up and fit in at Juve is very different to Milan. Certainly he has talent but he is a mental cripple and I don't see Juve signing a player like him at any time in the past, present or future. What I was comparing was Robinho's wages in comparison to Martinez.
Juventus have reportedly just changed their minds over signing Milan striker Marco Borriello and returned their attention to Sampdoria hitman Giampaolo Pazzini.
According to TMW, Borriello is asking too highly of a salary, which is turning the focus away from him, and back to Pazzini.
The 28-year-old is seeking a €4 million per season deal, which the Bianconeri do not wish to agree to. Roma has entered the scene, and are keen to sign the Rossoneri striker, banking on the fact that the two clubs may have agreed to terms, but not with the player.
This is why the Old Lady as shifted its focus back to Giampaolo Pazzini, reportedly offering the Blucerchiati €20m for the player.
Borriello opened up about his playing future after last night's post-match comments, saying that he will struggle to find space in the Rossoneri starting XI, after the arrival of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a season-long loan, with the option to purchase the player at the end of the spell.
Borriello scored 14 goals in Serie A last season, finishing the club's top goalscorer in Serie A.

This mentality is exactly whats got Juve to its present state. You're right, maybe he won't fit in at Juve, maybe he will, my point is, money is better spent on players like Robinho, than spending it on a number of average players. Sure its a risk, but its a better bet than buying a number of mediocre players.
Juve didn't do too badly by signing players with a strong mental side to their game for years, now because we have been crippled by the Farsopoli and haven't recovered due to mismanagment we should go and sign players with talent but the mental fortitude of a lemming. I guess some really do want us to become the new Inter. But hey, we'll look nice and might score some goals.
I agree we shouldn't sign mediocre players but we don't know if they are mediocre, again, a couple of games and people write players off. I find it hilarious personally, but what can you do. It seems that you have to have some silky skills like Diego or Robinho to be appreciated around here, marquee shirt-sellers. If people want those sort of signings every year they should go and watch Milan. The fact is that right now Juve are not in a position to sign players with great talent and mental strength, they are €25m+ players.

it's like a golden handshake, to get rid off him ... doesn't matter if its payed in installements over the year or in one sum

we replaced a player that did not fit into the system, with a player that fits
he is a very versatile player which can help on the wings, as second striker and even as centre forward, so buy one, get three backup players (or a backupplayer for 4 position)
