I'd rather have a good LB who can defend even if it means that he is limited going forwards. Enough with other teams attacking us from left and right.

If Pepe plays as LW then he can track back, when the LB goes forward plus i think left side is rather dull when compared to the right.

I'm pretty sure we will go for a more defensive alternative on that side, considering we have De Ceglie. If not, well, I'd be a bit worried unless we set up a lot more compactly than we have been.

The LB should be defensively good but I'll prefer someone who can go in front and provide good crosses. DC is a no for starter, he can't defend shit.

Indeed, probably one of the best transfer campaigns ever, eh? Lots of fantastic coups.

I didn't say it was the best mercato ever now did I? But keeping in mind us being left out of the money splashing CL while not having the cash we once had due to our previous floppy spendingsand the coming stadium and looking at the signing we've made and the names we've kept regardless of the arrivals I can certainly say that this mercato exceeded my expectations from Marotta and he certainly played this one right all things considered.

But hey that's just me.
