Four players in two weeks.

Right.

Marotta can pay for the late Chinese orders and extra coffee.

Letting go both Ekdal and Marrone was simply idiotic. One should have been kept for backup.

One of Ekdal or Marrone ahouldve been here. I also felt the same for Ariaudo. I doubt there will be these many signings but just waiting to see how the next 2 weeks turn out.

We might sign Andrea Poli, the next Montolivo.
Or we might surprise everyone and sign the real Montolivo.
How much would the real one be?

Of course, I know we have to pay a premium to secure these guys because they are Italian and play for rival teams, but hey, who cares. All the foreigners are ruining the Azzurri anyway.

Seriously though, even we started thinking similarly, influenced by the Italian meaning of "young footballer".
Marchisio will be 25 in 4 months. I do, and I think many of you here too, consider him a very young player who has all the time in the world to improve. We see him as a player with potential who, with time, might become an excellent midfielder.

The reality is that he's already in his best footballing years and there won't really be much improvement from here on.

Whats the situation with Santon? The guy barely features...could be very useful on both side of the wingback positions for us. Since Buffon is out for a long period, do we have enough goalkeepers for a swap deal?

I don't think I'm influenced by the Italian meaning of "young footballer" because I don't read the news, I really didn't know they considered Montolivo to be a young player. The impression we have of a player like Marchisio is mostly because he started doing well for us when our team was full of old players. He was relatively too young when he showed his potential. Same with Giovinco. We still think he is too young and he has still a big time ahead to improve but looking at players of his age we'd know that despite being talented and promising, he is now nothing more than an average player.
