Catania winger Jorge Martinez is edging towards a move to Lazio, according to his agent Daniel Delgado.
The 27-year-old Uruguayan, who often plays on the outside of an attacking trident, was an absolute revelation in the second half of last season, scoring nine goals.
Martinez has been attracting interest from Juventus, but the Turin giants have already signed Simone Pepe and are currently in negotiations for CSKA Moscow winger Milos Krasic.
Speaking to LaLazioSiamoNoi.it, Delgado said: “I have spoken with Catania's administrator delegate Pietro Lo Monaco.
“He told me that he has seen Lazio, that they are negotiating and will continue to do so in the next few days, but the situation is positive.
“I cannot but be happy. I have already spoken with Lazio in the past, but now it's right that the two clubs reach a definitive agreement.
“Once that aspect has been clarified, it'll be up to us to speak with Claudio Lotito to find an agreement on Jorge's contract.”
