I know he's a damn good player on his day. Better than all of our players with the exception of Fabregas and Van Persie, i am not denying that. But i hate his attitude, his inconsistency and the fact that he has to open his big fat mouth to the press all the time. He really needs to learn how to work harder for the team and stop mouthing off to the press all the time.

In the interest of the team, i do want him to stay, but i'd love it if we could get a good enough replacement for him and ship his ass somewhere else.

Ah yes.

He fits so nicely into the bracket of players that one loves to watch, but wouldn't be too keen on having them play for a team you support.

Barca really overpaid for him.

He won't be worth what Barca would want.

He would probably make a rather good libero, but that is something of a dead position, unfortunately.

Barca certainly overpaid for him, but to get your guy you will most likely have to do that nowadays with the market prices and all. When he was back in Donestk I wanted to buy him because I do think he's a capable player.

Spain might not suit him though.

We could use Poulsen to lower his price but IMO it would be a risk to get him now.

I'd go for Tasci, Mexes or Kjaer. In that order.
