As I said on the other thread..

Melo

Sissoko/Camo - Marchisio/Giovinco

Diego

If we play Sissoko on the right then play Giovinco next to him on the left and if we go with Camo on the right then go with Marchisio on the left, it would be perfectly balanced.

So

Melo

Sissoko - Giovinco

Diego

or..

Melo

Camo - Marchisio

Diego
Giovinco is neither strong enough nor good enough defensively to play that role. He would be playing too deep for his liking. IMO in a diamond midfield, Gio can only play as a fantasasia.

Ozil on the other hand is perfectly capable of playing that role, as he's done with Werder last season like Osman pointed out.

Well, Sissoko isn't good with the ball or offensively yet I don't see any problem in him playing on the right in a diamond midfield. I think with both Melo and Sissoko on the field this should make it possible for Giovinco to play on the left. Sure, he's no Nedved defensively but it's worth trying with Sissoko and Melo on the field.

Still i believe he wouldn't be too comfortable playing so deep in midfield, he really isn't the type of player that can play that role. Plus he's a bit too lightweight too.

would either just stay up on the left, not the player to carry the ball through midfield and with melo and sissoko next to him we would be stuck with the problem of diego coming too deep.

My pc is dead so I can't quote. On my phone now

Deneb, Manure made a good move. I've watched Ljajic but he never impressed me lately. He's invisible most of the time, he was not worth it. He was better before but it's like he lost it, hype killed the kid.

Ferguson has been praising him alot, and they were just recently applying permit for him. Rough diamond, but defenitely one they thought was very talented to pursue and develop. He is not good enough excuse is BS and totally cruel and heartless (lead him on for over a year, have him train with you etc, poor kid).

Very much the reason must be due to their financial shit, their owners commenting on this reeks of that, damage controll. Apparently Ljajic and Tosic together would cost 17m pounds, and since Tosic flopped and will prolly leave soon (he was just part of the deal to get Ljalic), a cash strapped Man U board figured they shouldnt invest to save dough. Ferguson cant be happy about this shit.
