I'd try to get him in January, with not so much money. He would add something in defense but yes, instead of Legro.

At the end of the season I'd splash it on some starter. :cough: Kjaer :cough:

BUT, we'd sign him (Marquez) as we'd have him in starting plans so I'd be against it.

Marquez has been really average this season, looks like he might have lost the plot. Even contributed to Barca losing points this season. Has become 4th choice centerback now.

Of course he is better than Legro, but that isn't really saying much.

When buying a centerback, you should think of improving the team not buying one to put him on the bench.

Having replaced a benched player that could play very well is not a bad option if we're talking about January.

Chiellini, Kjaer, Marquez, Ariaudo would be good enough IMO. (for summer)

No it wouldnt.

Marquez has declined a lot. Secondly its a new environment for him. He wont have a full summer to settle in (even if he is a backup, its many ways worse cause he will play even less and if he is called up he will f--k up). Then there is the question how much has he declined.

Mark is coming up with a lot younger players, like the Ranocchia kid or who it is from Bari.

We should improve.

There is also possibility that Marquez starts moaning as he isnt starting. In Barca its fine, since the team is always winning trophies. Not the case here.

Maybe we can convince Canna to stay longer, but in that case as a backup. He is bound to quit NT afte wc2010 so he can concentrate only on club football.

Ranocchia would be a starter and he would cost over 10mln euros. And he's there only on loan so his club is not Bari.

I was taking about sub, but forget it, I have to mention it 12 times to get to someones brain.
