Not too sure about Dzeko, same goes for Vagner Love.El Shaarawy,Defederico and Neymar are talented but not ready to start for us yet, especially the former.Plus they are not comparable to L.Fabiano at all, different type of players.

I for one like Pazzini and especially Gilardino and I wouldn't mind having them.
I know what you're saying with Eden and Love, but sometimes you could take a risk like Catania did with Maxi. Those three are going to be important players and we have established strikers so I suggested them. Besides, Fabiano would be quite expensive and might take a while to adjust to the league. Agreed on the last two bits.

Marotta explained his approach to his new role («Humility, because there is a lot to be done») and answered with regards to his preferences on a transfer market level: «If I will base my deals in Italy or abroad? I do not limit myself, even though I am in favour of the Made in Italy concept which has shown to be very precious seeing from the results, both on club and international level, as well as in the youth sector. Sure, the approach with Italian players is easier, just like the environment and the relations but I do not exclude foreigners. We will be looking for the best».

seems like he prefers italians but won't rule out transfers of foreign players. no need to panic then.

29 is perfect age for a striker.

we need someone who can perform right away. no more waiting for titles.
You're contradicting yourself. You said David Villa is the perfect striker but he's 28. :D

I'd pick Huntelaar. I'd offer Amauri swap for Huntelaar. Hope we can get Davids kind of deal when we bought him. I believe Hunter is great striker and will fit in Del Neri system, like Pazzini for Samp

He sounds reasonable, ofcourse he prefers Italians, but he didn't exclude foreigners at all. I'm sure that many members here would rather have let's say great Italian defender or GK that foreigner and I think that is Marotta's point.

Also he is mentioning youths :weee:
