Statement from Sampdoria:

"A note for our visitors: Sampdoria are not and will never be a supermarket. It has been days, weeks, that major titles of the national press have placed our colours on the transfer market, but Sampdoria are not a supermarket.

"We are only focused on one objective and we do not want to follow this pathetic game of who will go, who will stay."

i never said that neither, im simply saying that thrashing out 20 mill on a kid of unknown quantity is simply suicidal on our part, for 20 mill i'd sooner see it spent on Robben for example.
20 millon on the best player in the french league or the one of the tope scorers in the Dutch league isn't a big gamble. You are always gonna gamble when you buy a player wether it will work out or not. Getting Robben for 20??? Robben in today's market won't be sold for less than 35-40 million. We bought Amauri for a value of 25 million and he is just horrible and you are afriad to spend less on suarez who is way better goal scorer than Amauri. You think it's dangerous paying for one of the best talent in Europe a guy that is taring up the French league and he is only 19 years old. Overpaying by 3-5 million isn't a gamble in today's market, everybody is overpaying and those 3-5 millions won't break the bank.

how is 20 mill being justified for someone who according to you is the best player in the french league, it doesn't mean to say he will replicate that form in Italy you know? not saying hazard is a bad player but for 20 mill? sheesh i remember when we were linked with amauri, many of you were saying "YEAH nocerino off to palermo and a wad of cash for amauri - done deal that shit" now we dont even see the value we paid for him. And same with suarez way better goalscorer than Amauri? please take 2 minutes to have a look at the league suarez is in, same with huntelaar when he was at ajax, and tell me how he has fared since his move from ajax? again i wouldn't remotely pay 20 mill for suarez, yes i think he is a good player as well but i dont see the justifications to pay that much for someone who has only proven himself in a league which emile heskey himself could bang 20 goals a season in.

some here talk as though Juve actually have an infinite ammount of cash, im not even convinced about this 80 mill budget is entirely true in all honesty, especially since we spent of this summers budget on players we bought last summer.
