Tuesday 27 April, 2010
[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]Sampdoria administrator delegate Beppe Marotta has played down talk of a move to Juventus this summer.

Marotta is widely regarded as one of the best directors in the game having built a team that looks likely to qualify for next year's Champions League, something Juventus envy a lot.

The Bianconeri are said to greatly admire his skills in the transfer market where he has signed the likes of Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marotta was asked about his future, partly because Sampdoria President Riccardo Garrone recently said that he wouldn't stand in the way of him joining a club like Juventus.

“I am very well here and I am enjoying this extraordinary moment. We are chasing our dream, my dream, and that makes Samp equal to Juve.”

Marotta was then pressed on whether Juventus have made inquiries about Pazzini.

“There has not been any contact. And anyway, Pazzini is fine with us, above all if we qualify for the Champions League.

“Last season there was contact [from Juve] for Cassano. Then nothing happened. And now the Pazzini-Cassano partnership will not be touched.”

At such a crucial stage in the season Marotta will say this.

In other news Kjaer deal is looking increasingly likly it will happen. 10 Million plus Lanzafame or Ekdal.

That would be a good deal...
Too good in fact, I think it will be somewhere round the 15 million mark but I do think Palermo will release him to us. Thankfully we have a good relationship with Zamparini.

It wouldn't be a big deal, even if Ekdal does to get someone like Kjaer, but if I had a choice...

Ekdal could be of use in the future.

Good news there.

Anyone for resigning Mutu for a few pennies in October? For backup that is. :shifty:

I'd take him.

Euhm, wasn't Lanzafame another one of our young wonderkids who should have gotten a chance in the 1st team. Last I heard he was going to be the new C Ronaldo.
That's the last thing I remember about him too. Do you know, is he there yet? If so, we should keep him.

what to do at arsenal?...if we're gonna have a solid transfer campaign maybe we have bigger chances of winning a trophy than you guys.
Thats more true in our case though. We are just two or three signings away from being a title challenging team. So its the other way around, if we have a solid transfer campaign we will surely stand a bigger chance than you do in winning a trophy.

:D

I'm guessing he is going to turn out to be one of those youngsters that were completely overhyped. We should be pretty familiar with those by now.

Next on the list: Immobile & Iago :snoop:
