Juve target Benzema and Gourcuff Saturday 10 April, 2010

Juventus are looking towards France to rebuild with bids for Yoann Gourcuff and Karim Benzema.

The Bianconeri will revolutionise the squad after the failure of this season and are already making plans for the future.

According to Tuttosport newspaper, David Trezeguet is one of several stars expected to leave in the summer.

The quotient of French players will remain healthy, though, as they are targeting Benzema as a replacement.

Benzema joined Real Madrid for £30m, but has struggled to make an impact and dropped behind Gonzalo Higuain in the pecking order.

The 22-year-old could even be available on a loan deal so that he can rediscover the form that made him a hero at Olympique Lyonnais.

Juventus are also targeting a more familiar face to Serie A shores, as Gourcuff has been a sensation for Bordeaux.

He flopped at Milan when played out of position, but is living up to his nickname of ‘Petit Zidane’ in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

Creative midfielder Gourcuff has a £22m buy-out clause on his contract and is also attracting interest from other top sides around Europe.

Mr overated and a great player who still needs to grow well Gourcuff is great but I doubt he can make the impact we need he still needs to grow as a player
Benzema is a good player but not a great one IMO
I knew he wouldn`t be as good as people thought when Real first signed him but I guess a loan deal would be ok

Gourcuff and Benzema, I'd love that to happen but your looking at close to 50 million for the pair, sure we can afford it but then we would need that 80million the press are talking about then you have the problem of fitting Gourcuff into the lineup with Diego.

Benzema

Gourcuff-Diego

Melo-Marchisio-Giovinco/Rodriguez?

Tremoulinas-Kjaer-Chiellini-Cacares

Buffon

Suns

Release clause?

I want a new Juventus, thats basically it. One or two signings won't make it. At least 5 seems appropriate, two new fullbacks, one CB, a new right winger and a new striker. I know its crazy to ask for 5 new players but this team we have today is way too bad for a team like Juventus. If there won't be any major changes next summer then I can really see us getting stuck in this awful position.

And uh, new coach.

Read again it says that Benzema would be a loan deal so no cash about for him as for Gourcuff he would cost about 25M
Anyway I rather we sign some other striker and use Benzema as a rotation squad player and not as THE STRIKER

Goufran is a limited player in real life, he really isn't all that good. Gignac on the other hand is rather good, whether he's good enough for a team like Juve remains to be seen, but he's definitely a big risk.

I've seen Gignac a few times does not impress me, if Benzema is up for sale or loan(I highly doubt this) then I would rather flash the cash for Benzema.

Of course Benzema is 2 or 3 levels ahead of Gignac. Gignac isn't all that special himself, but he's a rather decent player. I would say he's good enough to play for teams like Tottenham, A. Villa and the likes.
