He has been a solid and reliable player both forward and back for Lazio and whenever I saw him in Ligue 1. And I meant Motta's career in general, not just Roma, yeah Ranieri benches him, but where I liked Motta mainly been Azzurrini, in club career, for Atalanta and Udinese, he hasnt done anything consistently except show glimpses of promise.

Anyone who thinks Caceres is better then Lichtsteiner is crazy.
Why?
Even though I was and still am one of the biggest (perhaps the biggest) critic of Caceres, I watched Lazio many many manyyyy times to know that Lichtsteiner is average, with the difference between the two being that there is a lot of room for improvement in Caceres' case, while in Licht's case, he's already in his best years.

The Swiss guy can indeed play a very good match from time to time, but apart from being inconsistent, very inconsistent, he also doesn't impress AT ALL in defense. Some could argue that Licht played his better matches as a MR than a RB.

So, even though I won't dare say that Martin is better than Lichtsteiner, I don't see why do you think that the Swiss is so much better (with what you said, I believe you're implying that Caceres is a much inferior player).

P.S: And I heard too that he was very good in France, but he's playing his second season in Lazio and on 1/4 of the matches he was good, on 1/4 very bad, while in the other half he was nothing more than average. He even lost his place in the starting XI at one point.

I find Caceres to be utterly brainless to be a starter and dont see any qualities he has over Lichtsteiner (lots of heart and effort, but not enough quality). And I agree Lichtsteiner is inconsistent, but generally has solid low level (as in not be disastrous), atleast mainly offensively (very good), as in even his average so-so performances he steadily puts in a needed effort in his wing. This season I havent seen Lazio much, but seen enough of Lichtsteiner at his best in his first season, which I'm not saying is anything special (dynamic and physical qualities going forward), to clearly see there is nothing Caceres does as good more or less.

And I prefer gambling on Motta, but its ridicolous to say he is twice the player, total knee-jerk stuff.
