Honestly watching him toying with our defenders doesn't say anything, our defence is a joke so i wouldn't give him much credit.

The kid has a nice pace and is very comfortable with the ball in his feet. He knows were to be on the pitch ( Smart when it comes to positioning) and has an eye for the goal and tearing down the Dutch league. Add to it he is very young. We have a record picking up excellent players from Ajax if you don't include Greygera ofcourse :D ( Davids, Zlatan,& V D Sar). If we are going to buy a striker for 25-30 million, I would rather we spend the money on Suarez than Dzeko, or Pazzini or Cassano

Well we wouldnt buy Cassano for starters....but Dzeko and Pazzani and Suarez would be nice. Sell amauri, trez and iaquinta. now we are talking.

also, we got davids from milan, not ajax...cant believe milan had both davids and vieira and let them both go.

an extract from Gdot talkin about van der weil

According to Tuttosport, Juventus have made contact with the player's agent Hakim Slimani to discover if he is ready for a big switch to Serie A. Juve have been looking at the Dutch international for some time, and Ajax coach Martin Jol confirmed that.

"Scouts from Juventus have been coming here to watch him in action," Jol said.
i thought he was good, but also de jong impressed with his positional play, not so much his finishing

Van der Weil would be awesome. But, I prefer getting an LB first, as we already have an option to buy Caceres as an RB. Also, Caceres would be switched to CB.

Maybe all that will be squashed if Zaccheroni remained as our manager.

I'd take a longer look at van der Wiel and possibly mount a bid for him. He looks like a pretty solid right-back and can only improve at the age of 22.

Also from Ajax I'd like to see more of Eyong Enoh, Siem De Jong, and Miralem Sulejmani. These guys look like stars in the making.

I was particularly impressed with Enoh in midfield who got by Sissoko and Melo a couple times, and also looked calm in possession and passing.
