Bordeaux’s Benoit Tremoulinas Linked With Juventus Switch
Juve are looking to one of their tormentors in last term's Champions League to help raise their level...
Juventus’ hunt for additional cover on the left side has again led them to Benoit Tremoulinas of Girondins de Bordeaux, a report in the Corriere dello Sport has stated.
The Bianconeri are working to jettison left-back Fabio Grosso and will therefore require a body to fill the void, and after seeing at close hand Tremoulinas’ dynamic full-back play during the Champions League last season, Juve are ready to make a move for the Frenchman.
Tremoulinas was even watched by scouts of the Italian club during last weekend’s 2-1 reverse against Toulouse, though there has been no concrete bid yet made for the 24-year-old.
Discontent slowly seems to be rising in les Girondins’ ranks as their poor conclusion to last term continues in the early weeks of this, and that could lead Tremoulinas to depart.
He has previously stated in the press that he would consider a switch of clubs, and the flying full-back could well be tempted by a name such as Juventus, though les Marine et Blanc would be loathe to let such a key member of their squad leave with so little time left in the transfer window to replace him.
Tremoulinas has previously been linked with a move to several of Europe's biggest sides, including Real Madrid during his peak last term.
