We need a CM, and we need one quickly. Besides I don't think that marotta has enough funds to buy a CM, LB, and a CB! we can find anoher CM next season.
Well, that's bad planning then.

I still think we should have held onto Ekdal, though obviously Aquilani is better at this point.

These stupid deals just get on my nerves.

I agree, it's a waste to send Ekdal to Bologna like that but you have to accept that we are not in the possession to buy a top CM, or any other top player in whatever position for that matter. Unless Agnelli throws some some mony on the table, we have to settle for loans if we want more quality players for this season.

some possible transfer coming -

Striker: Giampaolo Pazzini(if sampdoria out of CL). - don't need him, we have Trez, Amauri and IQ.. we need to sell 2 players before buy Pazzini

CM(Regista): Christian Ledesma or Jermaine Jenas , Andrea Poli), - Poli but Gago on loan also good, i agree with Dusan

DC: Salvatore Bocchetti, Nicolas Burdisso and Andrea Barzagli - Bocchetti is my choice then Barzagli, but i prefer Zapata if possible.. He can become backup combo for CB and RB because i still worry about Motta after saw him in Trofeo TIM and against Sturm Graz

LB: Benoit Trémoulinas, Luca Antonelli ) - I can't judge Antonelli because i never saw him play and Trem would be my favourite

RB for replacement: Mattia Cassani - Good if this true, but impossible that we still look for RB except Grygera leaving

Personally, I don't see the worry here, you must have been brainwashed by the Italian mentalists. :p

Gago would be more of the holder, play a bit deeper to pick up the ball from the back. Marchisio would drive forward with the ball, but he'd also have the awareness to stay back when the pressure is on, and he can defend at a reasonable proficiency.

It would be a little bit like Carrick and Scholes.

We don't need a destroyer in there. None of the top clubs in the world have a one-dimensional player holding such an important role to the side, the defensive midfielder. And in fact, the ONLY bright spots we saw with regards to possession last season came when we had neither Sissoko or Melo in the team, instead relying on Candreva, Diego and Marchisio. It's not a coincidence either -- they simply could play the ball, Sissoko and Melo could not.

It is a very simple matter.

Juventus, and Juventuz, have become conditioned to think that a destroyer must be fielded no matter what. That is simply nonsense.
You obviously misunderstood me, I know that a Gago-Marchisio partnership would work and would actually deliver quality football but my argument stemmed from the fact that we have both Melo and Momo who would be sitting on the bench, are you ready to deal with that?

Better than one on the pitch.

A Aquilani Marchisio duo would be killing. Aquilani as CM/DM and Marchisio in front of him gives us a very versatile central midfield.

I think Aquilani is available and not that expensive. Go for him.
Just wrote this as a response in the Krasic/Elia thread, but it wasn't on topic so I moved it here.

Hodgson said that Liverpool is looking into the possibility of loaning Aquilani to a team where he'll be a guaranteed first choice player (when healthy)... so that he can regain his confidence and form.

Liverpool can't guarantee the player those kind of minutes, and we are certainly not an ideal destination for a guarantee of that nature... not by a long shot. He's not coming to Juventus.

Also, Pool splashed out somewhere in the neighborhood of 20M euros on this guy last season, if I remember correctly. He wouldn't come cheap.

Edit: Can we buy a proper Left Back already?
