Luca Castiglia

He joined the Juventus youth set-up at the beginning of the 2005–2006 season from Torino, having spent some of his formative years in the Campionato Primavera (under-20 league format between all Serie A and Serie B teams. The Juventus under-20's won the youth title that year. Luca plays a central role in the midfield and looks to distribute forward as he is a good passer of the ball. Some have even compared him to Andrea Pirlo in the way that he controls the midfield.

Yeah, i have a kid(10) in my team, i call him Malek Pirlo too, cause he reminds me of Andrea) Both feet, great ball control, vision, nice shoot. Should we buy him, ill give him for peanuts, as long as i hold his 50% rights:lol:

Poli is a box-to-box midfielder. He runs A LOT, fights every ball. He has good techniques but he is not a Pirlo type of player. Soriano (another young Samp MF, younger than Poli) has better techniques and what it takes to be a good playmaker.

Don't forget this - he'd be a 4th choice.

Besides, I've watched him many times and he's a decent player.
4th choice he'd be a good addition. I thought you were advocating him being an addition to the starting lineup.

He's a decent player, true, nothing more though.

I haven't seen too much of the player at all - and for what it's worth, I've payed little attention to him when he was on the pitch... but what I saw wasn't particularly impressive.

I would also like to put forward the slightly twisted point of view that we're almost looking for a second/third choice CM. I know my thought process is a little twisted, and I probably didn't word that properly, but...

... while Claudio and Melo should be starting, I never, ever want to see Melo and Sissoko paired together again. Ever. It's just so ugly... Momo especially. Which means we badly need some quality behind Marchisio, even more so because he hasn't proven to be incredibly durable...

We definitely need someone with good distribution skills, so that Diego has more opportunities to stay upfield, and wreak havoc...
