according to Juaquin's agents he won't be opposed to a juve move if we tabled an agreeable sum with los che

Valencia's Joaquin To Juventus? We Are Open To Offers - Agent
The player's agent has welcomed the idea, but subsequent talks are down to Valencia...

The agent of Valencia winger Joaquin claims a move to Juventus would appeal to the Spanish star, but made it clear the Italian club had not made any contact in response to a report in Tuttosport on Thursday.

Headlines earlier noted an interest from the Old Lady in the Los Che star - claiming he would be useful in midfield given the combination of Mohammed Sissoko's duties at the African Cup of Nations, Mauro Camoranesi's injury and Tiago's possible exit to Atletico Madrid.

Eduardo Espejo, Joaquin's agent, likes the Juve idea, but he was cautious in his approach when quizzed as to how far a deal could go.

"We will see what happens during the January market and how things evolve. At the moment there is nothing, but if a serious offer arrives, then we will have a look at it," the agent told Calciomercato.it.

"Juventus like the player, but so do many others. He is playing well for Valencia.

"Will he leave in January? It depends on what Juve or other clubs offer Valencia. The decisions is theirs. We can only speak about personal things once the club who owns the rights to a player notifies us of an interest from elsewhere.

"It's true that Valencia's economic situation may prompt players' exits, but we have to wait for the club to let us know about other offers."

I haven't seen him in long time but he used to be one of my favorite players while playing for Betis. How is he doing lately?

Yes. Whilst Inter boast their squad with Pandev on a free, probably Kolarov for the other flank than Maicon, and then a new midfielder in the summer after Vieira is gone in January. Meh.
:agree:

It is depressing watching them build a skyline while we are still on the drawing board.
Silva Villa an Mata are the only ones we should seriouskly consider.

no to Joaquin
Agreed. If you weren't a peasant I would +rep you.

So, tiago to Athletico on Monday. Who are we signing as his replacement? Please God not another DM. Unless we sell Poulsen too, then sure a DM would be fine but we need a guy that can pass. Does that mean D'agostino??? :weee:

Gignac from Toulosse would be a perfect replacement for Amauri/Trezeguet, there isn't a ball he wouldn't try to go for. I just hope we'd get him instead of a Premiership club.

Hopefully our lack of wide players was exposed enough yesterday to convince the people in charge to change that.

Jesus Navas, for all his talent, is mentally frail. Not sure how that would work out.

Afellay, heard good things. I'll let the Dutch judge him.

Joaquin, meh.
He would bring a lot of creativy and pase to the team, some of what we need at this moment. But I think he would be injured too much, espacially at the Serie A and with our medical staff.

Too bad, but I would have to say no.

Not a bad point about the injuries, unfortunately.

He's definitely a pretty quick, mobile player with a pretty damn sweet touch though. I reckon he'd do well. He's the kind of player I'd take the gamble with.

No doubt about his qualities, but the few last seasons he had short time injuries multiple times and it took him a couple of games to get back in form. The dutch league is not as hard as the Serie A, by far. Depending on what PSV want for him it could be a gamble, but I think PSV want a lot for him. At this moment thay are negotiating a new contract and offering him a lot of money. His current contract will end july 2011, so if his does not re-sign we could get him for less than 10 mil, I think.
But I don't think he wants to leave PSV.

I know Serie A is alot tougher than the Eredivisie, that's mainly why I called it a gamble. You can't quite be sure how transfers from 'small' leagues work out. I read about PSV lining up a really big contract extension for him, but I think that like most players, he'd be interested in a move abroad, to a big team.

When he was asked about a rumour that Barcelona would be interested in him to replace the Africans during the Africa Cup of Nations, he went " Well, wouldn't you? ". The rumour turned out false and ofcourse, we're not quite Barca right now, but it shows he'd be atleast tempted to leave his current club.

I'd definitely be interested to hear what his price would be.

Nice to see more Dutchies onhere btw, haven't really seen you around before.

Yeah, normally I am more the reading type of member...

Off course it would be interesting to know the price-tag of him, but if juve want him they have to make a fast move before he signs the new contract.

How do you feel about the rumour of Real offering van der Vaart to Juve?

I'd welcome VdVaart with open arms, an underrated player if you ask me. Having him next to Diego and Giovinco in a 4-2-3-1 could work really nicely.
