Zapata can play on the left too? We should get someone like Tremoulinas instead.
Zapata can play there. A more defensive minded for sure. He played there with Colombia NT, I think. In fact, he can play anywhere at the back (we all know he played as CB/RB at Udine).

Probably many would disagree with me here, but I rate him higher than Bonucci. It would be a coup if we can sign him.

Problem is, I don't think we're seriously linked with him.

koss, take it easy, Krasic is comming, bonucci and motta is good deals too, we could take another good left back and storm every fronts.
Excuse me, but who the hell are those players and what exactly have they won? I think the three of them have one medal altogether from a local U-16 cup?
Why should we always settle for less? Next year we'll be excited by the prospect of getting a benchwarmer in Palermo I guess?

Di Livio
Torricelli
Camoranesi

Look up what they've won before they joined and where they played before.

Can you conceive a difference as to WHOM they've joined?

I guess Del Neri will set the winning mentality... opss but he hasn't won anything? Surprise, surprise.. ;)

TERENCEE, regarding the players read my post with Marcello.
@ being Juventus... I am starting to doubt that. We have the same name though.
@ the good records - well we don't need players that want to triple their salaries, but ones that live for trophies.

Yes.

The market isn't closed yet.Now we have to think about getting rid of certain players first before buying new ones.
I pray that you are right.
Another take - "we've been here and we've heard that."

Look, I think a lot of people are still living in Zidane's and Baggio's days. It should be relatively easy to understand that we are further from those times in quality than in time. But I guess most of the optimism is coming from the idea that the management back then was at a lower level, than the current one. How, I have no clue...
I am all for giving them another shot, and of course will support the team next year as I have done every single year since I started watching them, but I think it is about time that results are required, not desired from our team. And Agnellis promise was about getting the team into a higher gear... well tell me how that is gonna happen with VAZ parts?
Now, I do expect a storm of criticism about my pessimism...

The question is do we still have the ability to groom these players. Before these were unknown players entering into a succesful team, but now....

Hopefully we can still make some great players. I have liked the signings of Bonucci and Motta so far.

Cool. I wouldn't mind Zapata here. He could be a good backup CB and probably even challenge Bonucci for a starting spot. Most of us over here liked him. Its just that we weren't sure about him after all the injuries.

I read an article last week about the clubs linked to him, and Juve were among them so I wouldn't rule him out completely.

Agnelli's start as our president is great so far. I really enjoy the results:
- mediocre coach
- cheap players
- great promises
What is it not to like?
But the best part is that by next year we'll have our last champions retired. They are not part of this Juventus and certainly do not deserve that. Our biggest problem is again money, salaries and etc...

@Sustainable development - someone better explain to the new presidente: getting lower in quality each year is certainly no development, or at least not as the average Juventus fan sees it.
Koss has a very good point...

Sustainable development is a key issue that Inter are looking to resolve and somehting Manure have been very good at. Since we lost Moggi, we have been pretty short sighted in terms of the playing staff. Losing Lanza them begging to bring him back after an average spell at Parma does not look good. Criminally, we are likley to be giving away Italy's best natural talent as he is too small...

Marrotta had better have his eye on the ball both now and for the future as we cannot keep revoloutionising the squad. As Inter have become the new Juve, if we are not careful we will become a laughing stock like the old Inter...

These players were very young and were signed were very smalls fees bar Zambrotta.

Think Koss means the likes of Pepe and Martinez are now at the peak of their careers and while not having much potential to be world beaters we have spent alot of money on them.

I wouldn't let go of Poulsen, especially since we're sending all the young midfielders away, but that's a decent list. Covers the deadwood in our squad.
