If Torres was available(he wont) you guys really think we could snatch him up from bigger spenders? I don't think so unfortunately. We'll have trouble getting a guy like Dzeko, imagine Torres or even Villa.

I don't disagree, but Torres is the kinda player who cares about the things like cause, spirit, tradition and history when picking clubs. So that's where we get an edge. And as we all know once the player's heart is in it getting him is no biggie.

But yea, it's a pretty long shot...

He is enjoying his bench role with Madrid now, and he refused to go back to the Bundesliga to warm the Madrid bench.
There were talks he could go back to HSV but meh. I think he's going to leave sooner or later and I like him as a player but I don't think he'd accept a bench role.

No matter if play 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 I don't we'd have space for him.

That's crap, he'd think my ass if Real or Chelsea offer him 11mln/year.

He'd be a dream signing but it ain't gonna happen.

Real? Dude, no fuckin way Torres would ever play for Real. This is not crap, not with Torres. Don't generalize please...
Why wouldn't he play there? They have no history?

People said the same for many players but they all went after money.

Why is it a long shot, As you've said Torres will search for a club with tradition, history and legacy. and few teams in Europe have these, and the guy said before that he won't play for a team in Spain other than Athletico Madrid so that excludes Barca and Real which leaves us with the English teams to compete with and since he will for tradition the Man City is excluded as well, That leaves us with Chelsea and Man Utd. So with the ban that hopefully will stay on Chelsea we're left with Man Utd and just like the Heinze saga when United refused to transfer him to their Red rivals Pool might favor us eventually.

I've learned that we should focus on our priorities 1st and it's the defense. 40m+ on a forward is not the way to go right now.

I like it. I do realize all this usually sounds like total bullcrap, but Torres is one of those rare players with values, really.
