@Adriano C,

That is probably the cause for his hype.

Personally never watched him play for the U21's and therefore never understood the hype, as he was always ordinary whenever i watched him play for Lazio.
Basically, it was.

As soon as he wasn't able to simply out muscle opponents (in Serie A) he was revealed as nothing special.

Of course, he's youngish and Italian, perfect (or was) for getting people online to parrot his name.

    They rip YOU off. I used to co-own shitty players to meelan for 90m € a pop. :p

    btw, what's the non-EU player rule again? With all the Serbs and other mofos we'll have to pick the right ones.

    Pablo zabaleta from man city is the new rumor for the day. Well according to football italia. Anyone have any details behind it? Is the guy any good? I think he is 24 and to be honest I don't know much about it. Where are "my" EPL nerds at? :jester:

    We already have the best RB(s) around ...

    Zebina's offense, Grygera's decent defense and Caceres's speed and youth but we can only use one attribute per game :depressed

    The C4 article also mentioned about Zuniga and Marco Motta being possible options ...

    how is zuniga doing?
    motta would be sweet

    i think we need to buy proven players now though, whatever people would consider a proven player that is

    Zabaleta? Not a bad fullback, rather energetic and decent defender, going forward he isn't that shabby either. Would be an upgrade over Grygera of course, but i think there are better options out there.

    Oh and just to post this;

    Tuttosport understands Juventus have decided upon a new transfer strategy in which they will only sign players under 25.

    The Bianconeri want to carry on rejuvenating the squad and gradually phase out older players like David Trezeguet.

    This means that on top of a bid for the 24-year-old Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta, Juventus will also profile Hoffenheim’s 22-year-old Andreas Beck and Ajax’s 21-year-old Gregory Van der Wiel.

    Next summer, the Bianconeri will predominantly focus their efforts on signing a new striker to replace Trezeguet who is expected to return to France to play out the rest of his career.

    Instead of lining up a Luis Fabiano or a Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Tuttosport believes Juventus will consider either Andre-Pierre Gignac or Edin Dzeko [pictured]. Both players are under 25.

    The decision echoes one made by Milan earlier this summer.
