If Canna leaves I want a veteran like Marquez(free). If he stays then a young guy like Kjaer or even Ranocchia could do.

From all the matches i've seen of him in Sampdoria i never saw him covering midfield and i surely never saw him defend. When the other team's attacking, Cassano is the only Samp player not involved in the defense and he's always in opponent's half or at the center when the ball is in Sampdoria's half. If you check on Samp's counters you'll see that Cassano is alone up front, he recieves the ball, holds it, and waits for Pazzini to make a run from behind

i would like some bigger name though. i haven't seen the kid and i don't know but i would expect a big name to be del piero's successor. just like when nedved left we bought diego, i expect someone big...

this will bring a better balance in out attack cause we will have 2 powerful strikers and 2 supporting strikers. now we have 3 powerful and one supporting and it's obvious that some of them doesn't combine well.
anyway, if our mercatos continue to be like the previous one, i have nothing to be afraid of...

Agüero would take most of our budget while we should invest it primarily on a RB. Cassano is Cassano and if Lippi pulls the strings in our mercato then we can forget him. If the Marrotta rumours are true then the Cassano rumours will be intense. There's always Zarate but what will Lotito ask aside form Giovinco and cie? This could be another Udinese saga all over again. There's always the freebies we could look at like Chamakh and Pandev.
That's for the post DP era. We should look for a finisher also when Trez leaves.

it's going to be either Secco's Mastermind or Raineri's Dumbness to convince Roma that Molinaro is better than Mexes and make a swap deal..
in addition to this we can trade poulsen for de rossi, tiago for Vučinić and motta for grygera.
if the way to help fiorentina is by trading mexes with molinaro, i am all in for it.

chiellini now is only a very good defender not a world class one right now. that is true. however a player can fulfill his potential ability when he has to cope with a lot of responsibility.
so if we sign another experienced defender, we will never give chiellini the chance to prove if he can be a great defender or if he just is a good one.
the fact is though that till now anytime that he had to play alone with bad or medium defenders around him, he did great. remember that he used to play alongside with legro, grygera and molinaro. and he manged to carry the wait of our whole defensive line. so we have seen in him some potential, we should give him the chance to prove it...

I is easier to do that as a player like Legrottaglie who is more of a sweeper type player, than if you are a CB who goes out to attack the ball like Chiellini does.

Chiellni is the destroyer of the fleet.
