Are UEFA threatening to ban clubs from the transfer market? Fine, they'll create their own market. And, by the way, good luck to small clubs with selling their stars, since in this case they'll have to forget about big bucks from RM, MU, Juventus, etc. In other words, UEFA will just make things much worse for the rest of football world, and will be hated for it.

Are UEFA threatening to ban players from the NTs? Clubs will be just happy. Imagine: no NT breaks. No injuries because of them.

Wat? Look at domestic leagues? The same teams win in Europe every single year. Juve in Serie A, before that the Milans. Bayern in Bundesliga every year. Real or Barca every year but 1 in La Liga. Even EPL there aren’t a dozen teams competing. It’s a few teams and the league still hasn’t been close most years. And the same teams are hovering around the relegation zone each and every year. It’s no different from the couple teams that suck in the North American leagues each year.

The NHL, the NBA, The NFL are all far more competitive than any of Europe’s top flight leagues. The NBA is a bit different because a single player can have such a huge impact due to only 5 players on the court, but still more competitive, even with rich teams having the luxury tax loophole. And the NFL and NhL are far and away more competitive. It’s not even close. Having a salary cap and a salary floor is a huge thing for competitiveness. Also not having teams in tiny-ass small markets, which is charming, sure, but not really beneficial for a league.

the reason they’re more competitive is also because they have cap ceilings and a draft process. And yet there are still bottom of the barrel teams like I said that never have any serious shot at contending.
