Why should Italy or Germany have to qualify for a WC? They should be in it by default. Also countries with big fan bases like India and China. There should be 2 criteria. Historical achievements is one, following is the other. No chinese man will watch Poland vs Norway, even if it's Lewa vs Haaland. Now China Brazil on the other hand... :tuttosport:

So much hypocrisy and delusional garbage in feeble attempts to save this dead-born project.
In addition to all lies that underpin it now are emerging some juice details about the financial benefits each club was going to receive, had this monstrosity been founded. Surprise, surprise - Juve from the start and for the foreseeable future would have been a second-tier team in this competition. The great visionary or as the Indians call him "The Great Unibrow Deluded Prick" AA sold Juve as servants to their masters Real and Barca.
Of course, this comes as no surprise for any half rational football fan, but for around 20% of the fans ( more like 70% on Juventuz), this again is a good thing.

You over pushed it this time. It's too obvious.

Can't wait to see Sandeep Kumar lining up against the legendary striker Bong Hao Zhao.
It's all about viewership B81. FIGC, DFB and others need to free themselves from FIFA and start their own WC. Otherwise Perez and Agnelli will make their own Cup.

-automatic qualification for 11 historical nations: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Bosnia
-automatic qualification for 11 nations based on Super League Viewers Advanced Voting Polls: China, India, USA, Indonesia, Pakistan, Russia, Japan, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Thailand etc.
-9 "open spots" for teams to qualify: 2 from Americas, 2 from Asia, 2 from Africa, 3 from Europe
-one wild card, for a team that has performed well in recent years but somehow missed the tournament

That's how you save football. Little Lianghao wont be tuning in to watch Iceland Russia at the world cup. He wants to watch his hero Zhang Wong Chao play against the Brazils and Frances of the world. That will make him go out, pick up a ball, and try to achieve his dream of playing for Shanghai, not Spain wasting time again Switzerland after having a 1-0 lead.

PS, if anyone wonders why their team isn't in the historical nations, it's because they are playing in the righteous FIFA world cup semifinal against Madagascar, with a chance to play Papua New Guinea in their 2nd ever final. Exciting times for true football

they invented football!
Nonsense! They stole an existing idea and developed it further. If you really want to nitpick and claim they invented the modern game we call football, then it was actually the Scottish who "invented" it.

Also, England is not a footballing power. The self entitled limeys like to think of themselves as a power in the global game, but their national team has been abysmal since before the onset of the cold war. The one and only time they won anything was in 1966, and even then they needed a little help.

scottish, english. same difference. they're all part of the same kingdom.

and if portugal, netherlands, etc are footballing powers, england definitely is. stop spewing nonsense. they always have a stacked national team.
