just got me a bottle of Aberlour and a bottle of Ardmore,still have half a bottle of Glenlivet sherry cask and over half a bottle of Drambuie


that should get me over Christmas

    I prefer some cold water instead of a piece of ice. Ice tends to change the taste when it melts.

    Water mellows the flavour, Ice does it most gradually than water but to be fair just dirnk it straight after letting it air for a few mins.
    True but it also depends on the size of the ice being used.I've seen some use bloody boulder like ice cubes.:sergio:

    Then there's the issue of hands on the glass,kinda like wine.The more your hands are on the glass,you change the temperature of the drink.

    each to their own man, i like one bit ice but a little water is cool too,but is much easier to over dilute

    A single block of ice or straight for me.

    I don't go for water because I/whoever is pouring it, almost always ends up putting in too much water and drowning the whisky.
