Let's ask Martin to explain why it's funny, that way we'll really kill the joke.
What makes a blue screen funny? Normally, it's not funny. Quite the contrary, when it happens on your computer. But when some big, powerful company buys a computer system and you know that they have more money to do it than you'll ever see in your life, and they get the same blue screen that you do, that's an astonishing embarrassment. Because it turns out that all of their money has bought nothing better than what you bought for a hundred bucks (or free, if you got it from a friend). And that's what makes it funny.

Do you see the point? When a big company buys an office building, they get a really fancy one. When they buy office furniture, they get really high quality stuff. When they buy *any* physical goods they pay top dollar to buy something off the top shelf. And the same goes for the computers from IBM, more powerful than most computers in existence.

But when they buy software from the same "everything must go" cornershop where you buy *your* software, they get the same product as you, even though they pay much more for it. And that's very ironic, gives rise to humor. Don't you agree?
