Well, maybe thats what Inter players and Moratti feel the need for. They probably see more value in cell phones with subscriptions than a useless trophy rotting in a cabinet for decades.

Here are the reasons, why Inter never win important trophies:

1) They have no winning mentality, this is very important to get successful. Juve for example has a great desire to win and milan:boxing: has that too

2) They don´t let their squad (coach and Players) play together for long time, they are changing every season..they just wanna buy every player, which is intersting for juve or milan and other big teams..

3) Moratti brings unluck..

It is not known yet, but I am hoping

This is one thing I will have missed this summer. Watch the trofeo Moretti with some gobbi and some interisti, see Inter win and just for once join forces with the gobbi and compliment the cousins:

Inter does not win because the word "team" is about as foreign to them as Serie B is to Juventus. You cannot be successful unless you have a squad filled with the right players who all feel like they are wanted and believe in themselves to acheive almost anything. When looking at Inter, you see four coaches in a span of six years, you see several players being shipped in and out every single summer, and you see a fanbase who has seemingly lost belief in themselves after losing to Milan time and time again. I know many Interisti love what Moratti has done for the club, however they should think twice about that because leadership starts at the top, and it has indeed failed at our Nerazzurri neighbors.

I was watching the TIM Trophy tonight and as I witnessed Inter winning it for the 4th time (out of 5), it suddenly dawned on me why they never win (hardly even contend) for the biggest trophies. It's not Moratti's obsessive spending, it's not a new coach every season, it's not even signing more forwards than needed to staff the top half of the table.

They simply peak too early in the season. July is not a good time to peak, it's still pre-season. Yet Inter always start with a bang and then inevitably it's all down hill.

So simple and yet so crippling.
