having capello incharge for only one season so he can bring us back in the serie A would be a wise option imo.sure, you can bring in someone like donadoni to be a part of the 'juventus revolution',but he does come with a certain risk factor because of his inexperience as a manager.there's a very thin line dividing success and failure if we get an inexperienced coach.

let capello bring us back in the serie A,and then hire donadoni so he has some sort of foundation to work on.
You speak as if we are already relegated; and to what league did we get relegated?

As that great moral example Ron Atkinson said on a syndicated televised programme last week, (the Reggina vs Juventus match) , the authorities will have a hell of a job trying to prove this one.

I think this one will run and run.

Could Juventus manager Fabio Capello leave a sinking ship for one that's been sunk for the past ten years? If reports out of Italy are to be believed, then yes, it's possible. Capello, who is in New York on holiday, apparently has met with Red Bull New York owner Dietrich Mateschitz, and the Austrian energy drink magnate allegedly has offered Capello the manager's position at the MLS club he purchased earlier this year.

Capello given new Juve powers
Tuesday 23 May, 2006

Juventus continue their reinvention with director of sport Alessio Secco, effectively handing more power over transfer policy to Coach Fabio Capello.

“As of today, Secco will begin work along with Capello to prepare for the 2006-07 season,” announced temporary CEO Carlo Sant’Albano this evening.

“This organizational solution gets inspiration from an innovative vision, which I’m sure will be interpreted at best, thanks to the professionalism, the passion and the enthusiasm that Capello and Secco will put in their duty for Juventus, in coherence with the company’s tradition, and thus fulfilling at best all of our exceptional supporters’ expectations.”

This position of director of sport had not formally been part of the Juve set-up since 1995, when Luciano Moggi had this title before moving on to become general manager and then director general.

It’s reported that this new set-up will effectively hand more power to Coach Capello, who will be a 'British style manager’ with the final say over transfer policy and organisation.

It’s an unusual work ethic for Italian football, where Coaches can generally advise directors over which players they would like, but have no actual input.

Secco is 36 years old and first joined Juve as a Press Officer in 1998-99, then working as their team manager. He hit the headlines earlier this season when Zlatan Ibrahimovic shouted at him in anger as the Swede was unhappy at his substitution against

Hi guys, here's the latest from Don Fabio:

Capello: We’ll be an A team Monday 29 May, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fabio Capello, who has admitted contact with Real Madrid and Inter, maintains he will be coaching Juventus in Serie A next term.

In a revealing interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday, the tactician concedes that he’s a wanted man but has pledged his future to his present club.

“I am convinced that Juventus will remain in Serie A and we are already working towards this,” he bravely said despite the very real threat of demotion.

“We won the championship fairly which was rightly celebrated by us.”

The Old Lady’s future in Italian football is in doubt after they were placed at the centre of an alleged match-fixing scandal after a number of phone calls involving Luciano Moggi, their now former director general, were intercepted.

“There is an anti-Juve campaign,” added Capello. “Juventus have never bought the outcome of any games.

“We could be docked points, seeing as club officials are involved, but I’m hopeful and thinking positively.

“I only have Juventus in my head for now. Then, if and when the time arrives, we’ll meet to discuss any other eventual projects.”

However, Capello has confirmed reports that Real Madrid and Inter have been in contact with him during the last six months.

“I know that Real are interested in me, but it is not the first time,” he added. “I had contact with [former President] Florentino Perez in February, but I’ve always told every club that I am still the Juventus boss.

“Inter? I met with Massimo Moratti after speaking with his son.

“He asked me a host of questions, but then called me before the last game of the season to tell me that nothing more would be done, using the scandal as an excuse.

“Seeing as this wasn’t the first time, the reality is that Moratti likes being the Coach and I was a consultant, even if one usually pays for advice…

“Joking apart, I’m happy that he rates me and says that I am good at my job.”

Getting back to Juventus, Capello has dismissed suggestions that he would have an Alex Ferguson style role at the club from now on – Coach and manager.

“No, I like working on the pitch,” he stated. “I can give some advice, but I’ll leave the desk job for someone else. I have no desire to concern myself with contracts.”

Well this is the latest...its just a matter of hours now till we know what the final decision with regard to Capello will be:

Capello ready to walk Thursday 1 June, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus will meet with boss Fabio Capello on Thursday in an effort to resolve his future once and for all.

Although the tactician this week insisted that he would be leading Juventus in Serie A next term, a move to Real Madrid seems to be on the cards.

Adding more fuel to that particular fire is the publication of some compromising pictures of Capello recently meeting with a Real Madrid party.

Italian magazine 'Chi’ has the tactician photographed with Presidential candidate Ramon Calderon, his assistant Predrag Mjiatovic and Franco Baldini at the tactician’s holiday home in Spain.

Calderon has pledged to hire the Coach if he wins the Real Madrid election and Capello has admitted to the meeting, even if he insists he only listened.

However, it is now looking increasingly likely that Capello will leave the Italian giants, possibly even today.

Few have been convinced by the idea that he would remain anyway, especially if the club find themselves in Serie B as a result of the 'Calciopoli’ scandal.

The fact that Baldini is also in talks with Real may also provide an answer to why he recently rejected an offer to become the Old Lady’s new director general.

Should Juventus be in need of a new tactician then Sampdoria’s Walter Novellino is seemingly in pole position to arrive.

The Serie B promotion specialist has been hotly linked and he could bring transfer wizard Beppe Marotta with him from Genoa.

Well I guess this isn't a surprise to any1 after all. He really makes another decision just within days of confiriming his stay. But after all I don't blame him for making this decision as we know his reputation :disagree:
