Impossible for them to swap medals. Hamm won Gold, and the guy who supposedly got screwed won Bronze. How do they convince the Silver Medalist to now accept Bronze? No way in Hell.

The Italian who won Gold on High Bar was awesome, and he nearly got screwed by Hamm's over-inflated score. They tied but the Italian had the tie-breaker.
Guess that leaves Paul with the bronze then. :D

Yes, the Italian was very good. It was fun to watch gymnastics during this olympics (apart from the jury on crack), first time I've found it entertaining.

Yes, I'm not an olympic athlete for the US gymnast team. I'm also not an astronaut, world leader or movie star. Should we state more obvious stuff, or will this do for now? ;)

My point is simply that this unfair situation is having positive and negative effects for Paul Hamm. I'm sure he atleast considers it. :)
Not feelin' your sarcasm Torkel. :groan:

:D

I'm sure he's thinking about it as well. And as Pado said, no way in hell for them to swap medals.

IMO another guy (believe he was Bulgarian) deserved it more. Read at another messageboard that several people shared my opinion. But I'm sure others feel differentely also. :)
WHO cares really? We're talking about Olympic Gymnastics here.

good old snake
I was good at it too. I had a special technique, and I'd close the screen with snake's tail practically on all nokia phones I had.

I even have a picture of that somewhere.

As an American, its hard to say but I find myself rooting against the USA basketball team this year (not that I really care all that much). A horribly constructed team with very unlikeable players. They desereve to lose so maybe next Olympics the federation will send a team, not a bunch of selfish allstars. It is an embrassment, Team USA went 68 years before it lost 2 games and this team has lost 2 out of 4 this year.
 I couldn't believe it when Australia was 9 points ahead (IIRC) at half-time  Pity about the way they completely broke down in the last two quarters :(

All respect to Shane Heal though; running like that at the age of 33 :touched:

Go Korea in archery, badminton, judo, table tennis, gymnastics, shooting, weightlifting  and Taekwondo :nervous:

So you haven't even heard the full story, and you jump to a conclusion without a good comprehension of the matter. Typical.

Australia vs Netherlands in the hockey final; where's Erik when we need him :irritate:

what a fantastic game of volleyball in the men's quarterfinals. Greece really should have made a formality of winning the match in the 4th set, but it was more a case of a great USA comeback than Greece choking
