Only Agassi?

It all started with Edberg, then Courrier, then Borris Becker, then the Spanish clay experts, etc.

Yes Agassi was his biggest rival but the whole tennis era back then was much much superior than today.

Jack, I'm not saying that it isn't. Of course, men's tennis was much better back then. But that shouldn't be a slight against Federer and his skills.

He is possibly the most complete tennis player I've ever seen

Jack, Sampras is my favorite player of all time, just in front of Edberg, but you have to give Federer his due. He is on an amazing run.

Yeah, Federer didn't have an Agassi the way that Sampras did throughout his career (Nadal the last couple of years nonwithstanding), but he has shown to be a more complete player than Sampras
federer truly is a sensational player and for what its worth i think that he would have had the beating of Sampras any day of the week. Sampras was terrific but dull as ditchwater to watch,he simply hammered people to the ground, the game is a lot more open now and i would always prefer to watch a techically brilliant Federer than a bullying Sampras
