I'd like to officially rant about U.S.-based airlines, which are about as skull-fu%$ed on how to run a working business as most U.S.-based auto manufacturers.

I don't know how many know about the new policy among domestic U.S. carriers to charge for luggage on a per-bag basis as some flimsy excuse to make up for fuel costs. But apparently it has gotten so bad that the carriers are now punishing their customers in any way shape or form possible as a business strategy -- forcing people to fit their carry-on bags in slots during security check-ins, etc.

Really, these idiots should just get it over with and tell passengers to strip naked, bend over for the billy club, and prepare for a little Abu Ghraib customer service. Then their CEOs will wonder where all the customers went and complain to Wall Street that it was fuel prices that totally did them in.

I mean, do you honestly have to try to piss off potential customers at this point?

Fortunately I don't have to fly much, but if I could put more dollars into shorting U.S. airline stocks right now, I would. Just to profit from their idiocy.

I can officially protest for the incompetence of our managers to see the dramatic situation in the center of our defense, we are bound to make the same mistakes, in a year we have a lot more important trophies to lose...

That is pretty stupid. But there are multiple forms of incompetence.

One is being a retard and expecting your customers to do the impossible as if it were ordinary to make a flight.

Another is to create as systematic policy of cattle-proding your customers as much as physically possible, then to act like a complete business dumbass when your customers flee after tiring of paying to be cattle-proded.

The first is just stupid. The second is self-destructively malicious and ignorant.

I'd like to rant about the weather here. It's been raining a lot in the past 2 weeks, it's ridiculous. Tomorrow is Canada day and I hope to God that it doesn't rain. Depressing weather....
Yeah, I hear about all those polar bears wearing water wings out there.

Short the hell out of them but watch out for some mergers as that's the only way those guys will survive.

Southwest was the only smart firm to lock in crude at a good price a long while ago with hedging.

Hey, at least you're dealing with seeing your home vanish due to flooding and tornados, which happens pretty much everyday in the great state of Iowa.

Gotta love the La Nina weather pattern and huge temperature gradients.

I am angry because my car needs new brake pads.
Well brake pads are an easy fix. To be cheap, get whatever the mechanic recommends especially if they have a lifetime warranty. I spent 75 bucks per brake pad last time I changed them, but they are more durable and come with a lifetime warranty so it saves me in the future. Just hope your rotors aren't ground through because then you're talking about $600 worth of repairs.

Tell me about it. I'm taking it in next week to a place that specializes in VW's and I've taken my Passat there before. They give us a good deal, unlike those jokers from dealerships. Big rip off at those places.

Dealers are so high because of high labor charges. Their brand affiliation usually means they have to have enormous labor charges. Most vehicle owners never bother to ask how much labor costs will be. Then they are surprised at the end when they were paying 72 dollars an hour for a tire change. I have have to get my timing belt changed sometime in July, I'm looking at a $170-$200 for the service alone plus labor. I know the dealer I generally order parts through charges $72 per hour flat. So generally I don't bring my vehicle to the dealer unless it's something I can't do myself or it involves parts I can't get anywhere else. However, Im pretty sure I can do better at a local garage which pays their mechanics salary. That's where most people get screwed, by not calling around. Amen for the little guys.:D

Yeah, my little sister got harassed at a red light yesterday in downtown Charleston. She was driving my father's car by herself, which has an Obama sticker. She got cussed out by some conservative suit, that probably hates black people and the middle class, for a friggin' bumper sticker. Shows the class of the Republican party, the type of top notch fellows that borderline assault 110 pound girls who are alone. Fucking piece of trash disgrace to America.

If there was ever an effective advertisement for why to vote for Obama, that guy sounds like it.

So back on topic, I'd like to say that Tenacious D annoys the crap out of me. I love Jack Black and all. But what should be funny is just tedious. Tedious D. Too much frigging time spent on self-indulgent storytelling and not enough time rocking. :(

Indeed. When I got my catalytic converter changed last summer, this VW small town shop said it would cost about $800, while the dealer quoted me at $1200. Saved $400 at least for choosing the "inferior" mom and pop shop.

Oh dear God. Stupid motherfuckers. Reminds me of that stupid hick at a bar who called me a "faggot" in it's most useful connotation.

The sooner people start realizing the Republican party is nothing more than a bunch of Bill O'Rielly's farting around with their verbal dysentery, the better. Vote Republican because you're surely more patriotic than those humanitarian whackos. :melayyanandmessi:
