As champ he does have the right to call his match ups. But if you're the champ, you're not supposed to walk away from a fight against Chael Sonnen on 8 days notice. Jones and Jackson were both scared of that match up for some reason.

I'm not really sure he's scared to be honest. I just think he doesn't want to give Chael an easy shot at the title, because afterall this is what Sonnen wants since he joined the LHW division and started trash talking Jones. The problem is, if there's no other option than fighting Chael (apparently, he's the only one stepping up), you got to think of other fighters on the card and all the fans who already made plans for the event.

What do you know... and now Machida pulls out.... Shogun refuses to step up and guess what... now Belfort is going up from Middleweight to LHW to fight Jones in UFC 152. It's strange why Dana gave the fight to Belfort and didn't go back to Sonnen on the 22nd of Sep. Both of them are middle weights and it's clear to everyone that Sonnen out ranks Belfort.

It seems like Jones refused to fight Sonnen all together and the 8-day notice was just a nonsensical excuse. This really makes Jones decision more absurd. He trained for a wrestler who got injured and got another wrestler instead. The only difference is that all of the odds were in Jones' favor because Sonnen didn't have a camp and would have probably had to spend the entire time trying to cut weight.

Jones managed to quickly move from my favorite fighters list to be one of my top hate figures in the UFC because of his douchebaggery.

I'm also very disappointed in Machida and Shogun for refusing to take the fight in UFC 152 on Sep 22nd with 4 weeks notice. Jones took took the UFC 128 fight on less than that and walked out with the belt.

Sonnen on the other hand proved that he doesn't only talk smack but he also is ready to back it up as the cliche goes against anyone, anytime, anywhere.

I already have tickets to the fight in Toronto and I'm glad that the LHW championship bout is gonna take place there because I was not a big fan of the original flyweight main event, on the other hand, I'm disappointed because I lost respect for Jones, Machida & Shogun.

I really don't think Belfort stands a chance against Jones but I'm gonna cheer with my loudest voice for Belfort. If Jones eventually wins I hope Dana gives the belt to his manager/coach and leave without putting it on Jones' waist just like he did with Silva in UFC 112 Abu Dhabi when he danced around in the octagon against Maia.

I wonder what Woody thinks of his boy pussing out. I never thought I'd respect Chael Sonnen more than Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida, and Mauricio Rua but it's happen. Dana should demote them to Facebook undercards.

Very disappointed in Machida and Shogun! Had so much respect for both.

Jones vs. Belfort is such an uninteresting title fight. Dana White should've just cancelled the LHW title fight for this year till a legit challenger is ready.

Bones Jones is a bitch. Vitor has no chance realistically, but I really hope for a huge upset.

I don't think so. He's just a trash talking machine, a very good one.

I'd say Anderson Silva, George St. Pierre and Jon Jones are top of the list.

Shogun is on a 60 day NO CONTACT suspension, i wonder why UFC even thought of putting this fight together. Even if shogun had won via KO in 5 seconds against Vera without taking any damage i wouldnt have wanted him to take the Jones fight on such short notice. I understand why Machida refused as well.

Jones pussed out, he knew Sonnen had a good shot at beating him and that would have been humiliating! As much as i dislike the bitter loser that sonnen is i would have loved to see him smash Jones.

UFC 153 loses the Main Event.

Enter Anderson Silva. What a beast.

Gotta hand it to Steph Bonnar for stepping up as well, though he's going to catch a beating.

My interest in MMA has faded the past 1.5 years. It could all end with Bones, Aldo and Silva at the top and I would be content.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bones is the ultimate athlete who happened to fall into this sport. No one (even Machida) can beat this guy.

    Until he goes to heavyweight.

But he ended up losing a bit of luster over the UFC 151 affair and his Machida comments.
