Nice post Rebel.

Why should inter get away with just a fine? Juventus (the team) did nothing wrong, but they were punished on the basis of what Moggi was accused of. If moratti is guilty of tapping the phones of Figc, Viera, De Santis, crapello, & Juventus, then so is inter (the team) & they should be punished too!
because inter didnt try to fix matches. juve did. you get demoted and point deduction for those things. where as scandal with inter is on completely different level. certain individuals may get banned from football or even jailed, internazionale fc might escape unpunished, because what they did is not sporting fraud.

right, so moratti asked for de santis' calls to be tapped. what results in the league did that influence? inter fc per se hasnt got anything to do with this

Mancini: Sinisa, am I as ugly as they say? Interesting, I find myself very pretty. Just look at my hair.
Sinisa: Boss, we're at the game now, we'll talk about it later, here everyone can see us.

Fli, inter have been fixing matches for years. Even this season the referees have been favouring them. In their match with Roma for example:-
Philip Mexes gets booked for a push/shirt tug & a penalty kick awarded to inter (the "foul" started outside the penalty area). A short time later, Viera, who has already been booked (& committed other fouls since) Hacks down De Rossi from behind & gets away with it! Sure Viera eventually gets sent off - in extra time.

Mancini: Where are our lawyers?! Get me the lawyers!!

Fli, none of our matches was suspected or accused of being fixed. Refs, Figc heads, ref's designators were all acquitted, no other club was punished for having fixed any match. Plus there was no proof of anything.
What kind of matches did we try to fix? The ones against invisible clubs, not refereed by anyone?

And what Inter did was sporting fraud. Do you think they listened to Juve's phone calls to know what Moggi wanted to buy his mom for her birthday? And why did they stalk people like De Santis? To find out if he was cheating on his wife? Btw, I don't know if you noticed, but since he begann to be stalked (which is illegal, btw), he started doing strange mistakes against us. We actually lost or drew every match with him as a ref.

About Moggi's calls, it is sure that were no diffirent form the ones that any other club did in the Italian football world. We know that Inter's board talked with the refs on the phone, but had Telecom "covering their tracks. Bergamo and Pairetto had often dinner with Inter managers. What do you think they talked about?

And don't forget De Sanctis did talk about his phone taps were used to (or attempted to be used) to blackmail him.

If De Sanctis was blackmailed to alter the referee job or the results of matches, THAT would be sporting fraud.

:agree: I agree with you as far as Juve was concerned. I think one of the charges against Fiorentina was a match fix concerning a match where two other teams were playing each other. The result of their game supposedly was advantageous to Fiorentina, therefore Fiorentina was thus charged. The Figc court issued plenty of charges, but there was no time allowed to examine the evidence or defendants to be properly heard. The sentences were issued according to what Rossi, the interesti, wished to impose on the teams.

I also agree that moratti is (& therefore inter) are guilty of sporting fraud. If you think of football clubs as businesses, then they are also guilty of industrial espionage & sabotage as well as fraud.
