np........ i just wonder who lippi will play both games because i dont think he will go with the same lineup 2 games in a row, he might try different combinations up front.

lol it is totti and Pirlo

totti now have a short haircut, as short as lampard's.
and pirlo have his hair cut shorter, but not as much as totti's lol
now pirlo's hairstyle look like panucci's.

Oh man, seems like Totti could in fact become our captain. Cannavaro messed up with his statements yesterday, and they won't give it to either Del Piero or Nesta because the first one is a Juventus player and the second one was committed to Gea.

    here's a question :

would you be pissed off if a juventus player scored a goal that knocked your home nation or the nation that ur spoorting out of the tournament?

tbh,i might be a tad annoyed if a juventus player knocks out the italians.

So let's make the one player who really isn't fit to be the captain, who has to lead the Azzurri through example, wear the captain's armband.:wallbang:

Totti shines in Azzurri test Saturday 27 May, 2006

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Francesco Totti could be ready to face Ghana in the World Cup opener, as he scored a delightful goal in today’s friendly.

The Roma captain is still seeking full fitness after three months out with a fractured ankle, an injury he suffered against Empoli on February 19, but he seems to be well on his way.

Totti played 70 minutes of today’s 10-0 win against local amateur side Sestese and scored the final goal with one of his trademark chips over the goalkeeper.

“Totti did well, but these are not the games in which we can evaluate his condition,” explained Coach Marcello Lippi. “That is down to the two tests we will play in Switzerland next week.”

With two international friendlies lined up against Switzerland and Ukraine next week, the Azzurri hero could be ready to start their World Cup debut against Ghana on June 11.

He has been sticking to a personalised training schedule at the pre-tournament camp at Coverciano and played in a relatively deep midfield position during today’s test.

The real star of the show, however, was Alberto Gilardino, as the Milan striker scored five of Italy’s 10 goals. Vincenzo Iaquinta bagged a brace with efforts for Mauro Camoranesi and Marco Materazzi.

Coach Marcello Lippi split the squad into two groups, as the second also won 10-0, this time against Serie C outfit San Gimignano.

Luca Toni snatched four, Pippo Inzaghi completed a hat-trick and Alessandro Del Piero scored a brace. Simone Perrotta rounded out the scoreline.

Lippi experimented with a three-man defence in the second half, introducing Chievo’s Franco Semioli for Gianluca Zambrotta.

Alessandro Nesta and Zambrotta had slight physical problems. The entire squad will leave Coverciano today to vote in local elections.

“There were a lot of goals and the lads had fun,” added Lippi. “I had only asked them to have a run-out. Unfortunately, Zambrotta and Nesta had muscular problems and we’ll have to evaluate their situation tomorrow.”

now all we need is some pics from training/friendly match

i just read zambro got injured in the training

    http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Nazionale/Primo_Piano/2006/05_Maggio/28/punto.shtml

By the way Zambrotta got injured in a practice mach against an amateur team.

In one game Italy won 10-0

    Gilardino scored 5 goals
Totti scored a Cucchiaio and Iaquinta got 2 in that game

In the other game Italy won 10-0 again, this is the one Zambro got injured

goals from Toni x4, Inzaghi x3, Del Piero x2, Perrotta.
