I think uni works differently where you are.

It looks like it, Here you make your own schedule every semester and the only thing they care about is you submitting 15 hours or more. Other than that they have no say

It doesn't bother me. You don't have to go to all the lectures anyway. No one cares whether you show up or not.

That's amazing, here almost before every lecture the prof check the names and counts the absent. But still, if your schedule isn't decided by you but rather by some lecturer you could well end up with a shitload of a schedule which will basically have a lot of difficult materials like the programming ones for example along with some other courses that you may hate while if it was you who decide you'll make a better job of it that's for sure.

I think we actually had 8086. It was the worst programming language IMO. I hated it.

Language is fucked up Many of the guys in my batch actually did a course in 8085 coding before the start of the semester. Few of the guys including me got screwed.
