Actually, Marrone is a DM, isnt he? Well he was on the bench, so he could have come on. But Sackheroni opted for Caceres probably cause he has played more already in this side then Marrone.
Just bring on a midfielder.

He brought on a defender showing he wants to defend, very positive attitude.

Hm, well lets see now.

77 minute, Melo is off. We where playing something like this before Melo left:

----Candreva---Melo----Sissoko---
------------------Diego--------------
-----------------------------DP------
---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
-----------------Amauri--------------
Two minutes later Lazio level. And the only change is Paolucci for DP?

I just don't follow that logic.

Follow Sackheroni logic? Well i think there is a reason why he hadnt coached since 2007.

So you got what is frankly expected.

Sackheroni was probably afraid to go for it, and putting on Gio for another striker, especially as we had lost Melo in midfield, we lost balance. He was too scared to change too much, so it would go even more out of balance, as it already had, after Caceres (RWB) came on for DM.

Basically, sack was afraid to loose the match more than thinking about winning it.

Prepare to see more the same btw.

That's the Sackerroni Modus operandi. The only problem is he ends up losing many of those games.

The 2000-2001 season for him at Milan was filled with just that.

Anyone who defends a 1-0 lead has no ability.

Even the best teams concede the odd goal by fluke every now and then so you can never be content at 1-0.

Someone teach then how to complete some crisp passing please!

It makes you wonder how these guys reached the elite level sometimes when they can't even make a simple pass!

an encouraging start to his stint at the helm...team was playing with a lot more commitment and effort, but we are still struggling to create chances in front of goal...but we will get better.
