I wouldn't consider it a documentary. It's more of a political slant piece. The way I see it Planet Earth is a documentary and Al Gore's movie, Inconvenient Truth is a political slant piece. The same with Michael Moore's stuff and whats-her-face Pelosi.

All documentaries today, unfortunately, are slant pieces of some form. The entire form of the documentary has been pretty much discredited in the past decade.

Someone should make a documentry about the documentry.
I think that would be brilliant: How did the documentary go from its extended investigative news-like structure to the slanted infotainment of Fox News and every other wannabe pundit with an agenda to grind?

Disagree, not all are slant pieces. I agree some political documentaries are BS but not all, they all stick to one point, and sadly swag, those points have come true in these last 6 years.

But the crap documentaries have flooded the marketplace and tainted the form by association.

Today saying that not all documentaries are slant pieces is like saying not all Nazis were bad people.

No offense to anyone, but I believe politics is for fools, we all fell for them, including me. They get you an image, they show you and hide behind it, and do whatever they want. I trust prostitutes more than politicians.

100% correct....politicians remind me of professional wrestlers- they talk a lot of smack about each other, and everything they do is all for show. Then you see them all leaving the arena together at the end of the show as the best of friends...sound familiar ??

The last completely unbiased documentary I saw was the Planet Earth series. No that's a lie. Cocaine Cowboys was pretty good too, it just examined the culture of 1970s-late 80s Miami and the effect coke dealers had on the city. It didn't really say which guys were good or which guys were bad. It merely documented the situation, like a documentary is supposed to do.

Obviously, I meant I'm done with the two-party system. Bring a third party in and maybe I'll begin to care again.

Both the Republicans and Democrats are owned by the same people, so both parties are the same. And they're all lying scumbags that people shouldn't fawn over.
