I hate the way that Montreal plays hockey.

I simply hate it.

Is it the way we play the system or they way the players act on the ice you don't like?

as for the system, it's much better than in the past. Defensive but not boring so I guess it's how we act on the ice. PK? Does he embellish things? Sure. Could work on that but he's getting better. Acts less as a shit disturber than in the past. As for hits after the whistle or things of this genre I see those from every team. Gallagher, Gionta...who are under 5'9 get faced washed by 6.3" guys and they still go to the net. That's character. We got Prust who finally defends our guys and don't send faxes to other players to fight...I personally love the way we play and act on the ice.

The system doesn't bother me, its the attitude that they have that they feel that they can embellish every little thing, poke and prod after the whistle, and when push comes to shove, they just walk away.

To me it's simply embarrasing, and I stopped defending their style of play on the ice several years ago. No matter who comes in to coach the team, the culture is still there, in my opinion.

And as a Habs fan for decades, it really bothers me.

I see that with almost every club in the league Sergio but I can respect your opinion on it.

friendly tap from Emelin. No neck breaking on stance kind of thing.

+ we used out backup goalie.

:D
:howler:

The ref, he was not good in this one. Your backup goalie can thank the, what, 4 posts that Boston hit during the game? :D

Oh, c'mon now... I gave you a pass on your teams improvement, let's not get crazy. I still can't stand the yap, hack, and run MO, although at least I don't have to watch LaPierre sully any more of these rivalry games by pretending he's a tough guy.

:D

Emelin got suckered by Chara and got up and fought him. How many players would do that? 1% of the NHL?

Emelin gave Seguin a shot and then fought after it. He's not even allowed to fight, by doctors, because he has a plate in his face. And he fought Chara.

For years Lucic would never fight Laraque. It goes both ways with Habs-Bruins rivalry.

and you guys hit after the whistle. Facewash, sticks to shins, ankles...+ Laps ain,t here anymore and Prust and cie responded. It's different. Posts are part of the game, we hit 2 I think and you see me crying? :p

Can't get more Boston biased than Mike Milbury, let's see what he said about yesterday.

Emelin laid a cheap shot on Boston's top scorer from last season, a 21 year old who is loved by his teammates; I don't give a fuck that he has a plate in his face, or that he defended himself instead of playing dead and taking a vicious beating - he's playing HOCKEY FFS, if you pull that shit you're expected to pay the piper. This. is. hockey. So if you want me to give him credit for doing what he's expected to do after being an idiot, than fine: I respect that he didn't just turtle like a little bitch (like many of his teammates probably would have). But it was cheap stick work, and given who he hit, he's lucky he walked out of that building in one piece. I only brought it up because instead of a minimum 2min PP for the Bruins, Z got 5, an extra 2 for instigating, and a bullshit 10 minute misconduct. That one play (and the missed call) had a pretty big influence on the outcome of the game.

And give me a break with this bolded "for years" nonsense. You sound like you've been spending time over on the TSN message boards, with the resident inbreds. Looch is considered one of the toughest players in the league... by the PLAYERS in the league. Question his toughness all you want, the players know what's up.

Also, the last time Laraque played for Montreal was in 2009-2010, when Lucic was 21 years old, buddy. I remember Lucic formally declining that fucking no talent hack once, in the same season, 09-10, where he missed time with BOTH a broken thumb, and a high ankle sprain. It rarely makes sense for a quality player to fight a bum like Laraque (i.e. He cheap shots a teammate, or Looch - that would be the only real reasons to fight him, otherwise, Looch just puts Boston at a disadvantage as Laraque won't be logging minutes anyway), but Looch had been instructed not to fight by Julien and the coaches for obvious reasons (the injuries), not to mention it really didn't make sense during the flow of the game (which was tight, and the Bruins were winning).

It's not different, Mark. Your boys are still flopping all over the place - it's a Habs requirement.

The point about the posts was just to remind you that your team got VERY fortunate, but in your heart you already know that. As for why you would be whining about hitting less posts than your opponents in a game you fortuitously won... I'll just let that go :D

Also, Mike Milbury is an incompetent moron. No self respecting fan gives his opinion ANY time :D

just watch the vids and have a good laugh geez. :p
Those clips...

:howler:

Love how the first one begins with the crosscheck we were talking about being referred to as an embellishment! He broke his damn stick on Seguin's ribs with a crosscheck. Everyone knows that Marchy will dive here and there - not really surprising he's the star of that clip. Who are the other Bruins one would classify as 'embellishers', though?

As for the Stewart stuff, I love Stewbeef, he's a funny guy. That stuff is typically out of context, and demonstrates some of his limited hockey knowledge (which he admits), but I laughed, yeah :D

Stop bitching and fuck the Bruins. :p
:D

Suck it, Muchacho!

what stick to the ribs?

you know I love you guys. The only 2 Bruins fans I can support. :p
So I guess the stick didn't actually break, Emelin didn't actually drop the stick directly afterwards because it was broken and he knew he'd get a penalty, and Seguin probably didn't go to the dressing room afterwards.

Rollie is a cool guy, how he turned out to be a Bruins fan I have no idea. A serious short coming from the society he grew up in, can't let our best and brightest slip away like that :p :D
