Well, you've got a few young guys who could turn into pretty solid players. P.K. was one of those can't miss guys IMO, but he's one of our Juniors, and I've been biased before. It obviously hasn't been your junior scouts, etc., that have hamstrung the team.

Love Cam Neely rippin' into the Bruins for their lack of heart and passion. So sick of this bullshit. I want to see a pretty big purge. I also like him admitting that the drop off in leadership was much more than they expected. Good when management admits they've been wrong (as long as they're not consistently wrong).

Holy fuck, Kesler for 5 years and 30M! Love the player, glad to see him getting payed... Vancouver has quite a few big ticket players now though. Be interesting to see how that works out moving forward. I had heard about the deal, but I've been on an island without internet for a few days. That's a big number.

Well, it's maybe one of those lesser of two evils, type of deals at best. Gomez has been decent, but that salary is one of the very worst in the league... and it's got some legs, yet. 4 years left?

One thing to remember also, is that without moving Gomez, NYR couldn't have signed Gaborik... who has been fucking awesome.

And Higgins was terrible (and none of the others have really produced for NYR to my knowledge), but dealing him helped them get Jokinen (which isn't overwhelming at this point, but the verdict is obviously out on that one; if they could resign him for value, it would be nice).

I'm supremely anti-bandwagon hopping... once you get on, there's no getting off. Which is why I count Boston, the 49ers, and the Oakland Athletics amongst my teams (although I have to admit that I can't stand baseball anymore, nor have I been able to for a few years; slow sport, and nothing that could even modestly resemble parity).
