Fuck the Bruins

Fuck em , Fuck em, Fuck em.

Fuck their bandwagon fans and all those years of only having 12,000 people in the arena until this year

Fuck their ugly black and gold uniforms

Fuck em, Fuck em, Fuck em.
Hmmmm....

Go fuck... yourself? That's what I'm going with. :juventus:

Leave it to Habs fans to be classy... we fucking lose to you in 7 games, during the first round of the playoffs last year (as the fucking 8 seed), and Montreal riots.
What a joke. So the Bruins decided to turn around and pound your bitch-ass team all season. I can understand why you're bitter. Well get used to it.

Without some major moves, your team could end up in the basement for a LONG time. What solid coaching and management you're blessed with. How many free agents do you have? Where are all these young stars of tomorrow, who should be coming through your system? You going to pull out a name like D'agostino? All you've really got is Cary Price... :xfinger:

The only reason the building in Boston was ever empty was Jeremy Jacobs. Period. As long as he stays out of the way, and let's Chiarelli and Neely handle their business, I'm confident in the direction of the team. It was the same in Chicago, and look at that building now. Fantastic.

The Bruins are built for the future. I'm proud of the team for the spirit they showed in coming back this series, especially Lucic, who had a massive third period. He swung the momentum with his physical play, and then went shelf... Showed some great hands, for the second game in a row. This kid is 20, and he's going to be pounding on Les Canadiens for years to come.

Too bad Boston won't have the opportunity to Knock Montreal out of the playoffs again for a little while; looking pretty likely that for the next couple of years, your team's only going to be playing regular season games - Enjoy!

Awwwww..........................................Look who's upset.

Christ, get off your high horse for a fucking minute, will you????

You can understand why I'm bitter? Really? You know me that well, huh Newbie??

So you would know that I happen to LIVE IN THE BOSTON AREA and saw firsthand how the overwhelming majority of these fans turned their back on this franchise, just like I've seen them do to the Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox when times were really tough for them. Unlike Montreal Canadiens fans, who despite being overly critical and melo dramatic, stick by their team through good times and bad.

I guess you would ALSO know that I happen to live about 5 minutes away from Providence, and that I go to about 25-30 Providence Bruins games a year, also.

So, you can see the frustration when I see everyone and their grandmother wearing Bruins jerseys, and I get the same answer every time I ask the question "where were you 3 years ago?"

"Ummmm...........well.............uhhh....................."

Yeah, exactly.

I hate the Bruins. Wow, fucking sue me for hating my fiercest rival and enjoying them accomplish exactly what Montreal did this time last year. I already acknowledged them as "talented bastards", and that is the best you are ever going to get out of me as far as a complement.

As far as MY team is concerned.

Here are several names that you will be hearing about next year.

Ryan Mcdonogh, Max Pacioretty, P.K. Subban, Ben Maxwell, Yannick Weber.

These are some of the names from a farm system consistently rated to be in the top 5 every year, so yes, those players are coming.

Its called patience, something that I, unlike most Habs fans, have when it comes to this team.

Meanwhile, despite all of the up and coming young players on the Bruins, you are still crippled with a slow-as-sloths defense, and a goalie, who despite being 36 and your probable Vezina winner, still hasn't gotten out of the 2nd round of the playoffs. In other words, Carey Price, despite being 15 years younger, has accomplished almost as much.

Think about that. Great hockey teams are built from the back, so before you start anointing the Bruins as the dynasty of the future, take a look at what you've got going on there. All the Lucic, Kessels, and such won't mean anything unless that situation is addressed.

And don't confuse "hatred" with "lack of respect"

But I would rather complement Inter than the Bruins :D

If that gives you any idea how much I hate them

 Never said I knew you well - and you can't say that you're not extremely bitter towards the Bruins - and probably even more so than usual. Of course you are. We dominated you this season, swept you, and you live in Boston - you've probably been shit on 1000 times in the past couple of months! Maybe more!

Whether I'm new to the forum or not, you attack my favorite team of nearly 20 years (basically since Oilers Vs Bruins '90 - just a bit before - when I was 8) then I'm gonna talk some shit EVERY TIME.

Oh yeah, Montreal fans are just the best sports fans in the world. Ever heard of a little baseball team called the EXPOS? A team that couldn't even bring the fans in when they were WINNING!! Oh yeah, fantastic support - and the Big O is a world class stadium.

Montreal is a hockey hotbed, thanks to the overwhelming success during the pre expansion days of the NHL - Hockey is life there.

It's a massive source of pride and identity for French Canadians, in a city and region that was continuously shit on by the federal government, and English Canada for many years after confederation. That's why hockey is life in Montreal - For many years, it was one of a very few examples of french Canadian domination.

All that I can really say about that is that I'm kind of jealous that you live in the Boston area. How long? Born and raised? Pretty sweet... some great history in that area.

So, you can see the frustration when I see everyone and their grandmother wearing Bruins jerseys, and I get the same answer every time I ask the question "where were you 3 years ago?"

I haven't heard that expression since the 90's... 'so sue me'. I suppose thats because I don't live in the good ole USA, where the likelihood of frivolous lawsuits is 3000 times greater than it is here in Canada.

In all seriousness, how can you come into this thread talking about 'fuck Bruins fans, they're all band wagon riders' (when there has really only been one Bruins fan in this thread during the entire playoffs), and not expect to get an extremely negative response? I took that shit personally

Next year? A little optimistic of you I think. I obviously know about P.K. (and forgot about him - yes, he's excellent), and Maxwell is from Vancouver. As for Weber, Mcdonogh, and Pacioretty, I'm pretty clueless... that's true. Still, we're talking about players with basically NO NHL experience, right? Most haven't even cracked the roster yet, RIGHT? Where are all of the great youngsters currently in your lineup? Like I said, it could be a couple years before you guys get back to the playoffs.

Meanwhile, despite all of the up and coming young players on the Bruins, you are still crippled with a slow-as-sloths defense, and a goalie, who despite being 36 and your probable Vezina winner, still hasn't gotten out of the 2nd round of the playoffs. First of all, Timmy Thomas has been excellent, and I don't mind the long term deal for the years, because he's made about a Million bucks each of his past two all star seasons. He's earned the raise.

I know that you realize that Tukka Raask is a very high quality goaltender though - if you go to those Providence games, you know that. He's going to be outstanding, and will be the #2 in Beantown, starting next year.

Carey Price was great for our juniors, but if your fans don't understand that he needs a little more SUPPORT, they could fucking end up destroying his confidence. Just my opinion.

Think about that. Great hockey teams are built from the back, so before you start anointing the Bruins as the dynasty of the future, take a look at what you've got going on there. All the Lucic, Kessels, and such won't mean anything unless that situation is addressed.
As for the defense:

Hunwick is a pretty damn fine young defender, who is a puck moving dman, a point producer and quite a good skater. He had a great FIRST full season - check the points and +/-. He's 23. Ruptured his spleen, missed the playoffs. We really missed him, as he was something of a revelation... not sure anybody though he would be as good as he was this season.

Dennis Wideman had an OUTSTANDING year, is a fantastic puck moving defenseman who has got GREAT wheels. Needs to be a little more careful with his lateral passes in his own end, but he's an absolute stud when it comes to young offensive defensemen. He's 26.

Mark Stuart had a pretty good 2nd year, he's a former 1st rounder, and a very solid stay at home defender. He's no slouch, and adds a great physical presence to our back line. He's 25.

Montador is decent, and during the last part of the series against Carolina he was fantastic. Not bad, got him for very little from Anaheim, 29 years old.

Andrew Ference, one of our Assistant Captains, good mobility, all around good defenseman. Probably our third best defender. He's 30, missed the entire series against Les Canadiens, and most of the series against Carolina. This is basically what killed us. The defensive errors in games 2,3,and 4 killed this team.

Zdeno Chara. Our captain. He should win the Norris Trophy this year - absolutely huge this season - unfortunately, he started this series against Carolina very poorly. A real leader during the comeback though. 32 years old... he's got some good years left, no doubt.

Which leaves us with Ward, and Hnidy. These are the slow Defenders you were correct about; Hnidy wouldn't have even played had Hunwick OR Ference been available. Ward wouldn't have played if both had been available.

Losing Hunwick and Ference was a huge blow to this team during the playoff run.

So, considering that the expiry date of most talented defenders is sometime AFTER 34-35 years old, what's the issue with Boston's Defense? What's the problem with the goaltending?

I turn your statement ("think about that.") back over to you, because I have thought about it, and I'm quite comfortable with our situation, and with the abilities/judgement of Chiarelli and Neely in all matters of player personnel. Which reminds me... you didn't comment on any of the myriad of problems in your front office, on the bench, your uncertain ownership. Those are the issues that tend to hamstring teams for extended periods of time – Think about that.

Beyond the current crop, we also have a few defenders who were 2nd round picks the past few years, but I won't comment on them, as I haven't seen them play enough to really evaluate them.

Finally, anyone who has had any conversations with me about the Bruins knows that I haven't "anointed them as the dynasty of the future," or whatever that crap was. I said that they are going to be a really good team, maybe a great team, for a very long stretch here. The Penguins, Capitals, Blackhawks, and Ducks all have very solid young cores, blossoming superstars; the word dynasty could be a difficult word to utter in the next 10 years for any team, as the NHL is gearing up for possibly (what looks to me to be) it's most competitive era since I started watching hockey.

Anyways, despite the fact that you're almost positively a degenerate mud hole bandit (due to your affiliation and fraternization with other depraved fans of the abhorrent Canadiens), here's a :dule: because you're a 49ers fan, a Juventus fan, and quite frankly, because I love passionate sports talk. Have a good night brother - Im sure we'll continue this soon enough, in some form or another.

If you read this far, that is... holy fuck. Sorry everybody...

Samuelsson will probably leave Detroit at the end of the season. His contract expires this year and he says he hasn't been offered a new one yet. He says it's understandable though, because the club just gave Zetterberg and Franzen big contracts and are trying to tie down Hossa as well. He wishes to stay but knows its unlikely.

And the management would be making the right decision again. I like Sammy but he's not one of the key players, although he is sometimes clutch in the playoffs.

it's like...in the bag for you man...hope we'll get them canes in the hole too..
It's setting up rather nicely. You guys better get the job done tonight.

The Hurricanes are making an embarrassment out of the Eastern conference.

6-2 Pens, 3-0 on the Series.

Boston, New York, Carolina... all these clubs are overrated as hell. Only team that deserves respect is Pittsburgh.

Detroit, Anaheim and San Jose would wreck any of these teams, besides the Pens.

This is why I don't really give Boston much props for having the most points during the regular season. The Eastern conference is easier to play in for various reasons, not only because of limited travel time.
