A beloved old moderator on Juventuz used to live on the island. After a while he moved back to Dublin I think but he was quite active before that. So apparently it *is* possible

Actually I am going to Rome this summer myself! I was thinking I could go there first week of July, check it out and see if it's at all possible to find a summer job there. If it is, I'll stay till September, if not, I'll check all the important sites and go home after 1-2 weeks.
