:D

i never had any game console in my entire life. :sigh:
I never had any either. My brother was the one who always got the consoles growing up so luckily he'd let me borrow them. And when his friends came over they let me play on the consoles they had brought with them as well. Now I am buying my own. :D Unlike the boys though who were more of the fighting/combat/car racing fans however, I am a fan of rpg games. I love Zelda and the only one I have been able to play so far was Link's Awakening. I think once I tried Ocarina of Time as well if I remember correctly but since it was just once I didn't get anywhere far. :p

I know that this is a PS thread but I have a question and I don't really want to open a whole new thread for it. Do you guys think it's very unwise to get a Gamecube at this point? I don't want a PS cuz I want Zelda games. But if getting a Gamecube means never getting a Zelda game after Twilight Princess then I am not too sure if I should get it...

You're better off getting the Wii. At least it will be Backwards Compatible to play Gamecube Games, and you'll be able to download select NES, SNES and N64 titles through their online store

I decided to get the Wii afterall but I'll probably wait until January when the price goes back to $250.00 rather than pay the ridiculous prices they are being auctioned off at on Ebay at the moment. I just saw a review for Twilight Princess on X Play on G4 a little while ago and it looks breathtaking. I got so excited, I can't wait to get my console! ^.^ And it got a five out of five review. ^.^

here is an artice i found on this over-priced toaster oven/dvd player:

"We don't typically cover financial statements here at Engadget, but when a company like Sony suffers a year of missteps highlighted by a massive battery recall and PS3 launch delays, well, we can't help but take a peek at that gnarled wreckage across the center divide. In the quarter ending March 31st, Sony suffered a ¥67.6 billion ($563 million) loss attributed primarily to the launch of the PS3 -- their worst quarter in four years. The matter was compounded by the fact that they reduced the price of the uber spec'd console and then sold only 5.5 of the 6 million PS3s they had targeted for the entire fiscal year. Still, Sony's once highly profitably games division is expected to make a recovery -- at least in part -- after they "strengthen" their game lineup this summer in their quest to sell 11 million PS3s before March of 2008. Godspeed Sony, you'll need it."

but apparently their 10 year forecast outlook reports that they will end up in the positive for the ps3.
