Remember how Drogba did against us in CL? Not looking forward to that. Please please please please don't let Cassano go there too. It would be horrible.

He was BORN to wear Juve's shirt.:flag3:
I've been following Drogba since his Marseille days and I'm one of his biggest fans. To me he's the ultimate forward. I wasn't waiting for the game against us to see his potential. He was so lame at the beginning of the season because he hated Scolari and I knew that once Scolari was out no matter who replaced him Drogba was to explode.

I'd prefer Iaquinta out but it will be Trezeguet who's going to leave probably.Lippi also likes Iaquinta.
They say 12mln + Abbiati, if not it can be ~15.It can be enough for Cassano if he add some player on loan (NOT Giovinco).
Under some circumstances, i would accept Cassano's acquisition.
I think that Treze, is the only real scoring machine we still have.
But considering is form and the issues with CR, it is most likely that he will be axed.
If Treze raises enough funds and we can acquire Cassano with the minimal financial sacrifices. Then we would still have a chance to buy some of the players and avoid wasting one more year, like we did with this one.
But one the other hand Treze deserves better for staying is serie B, it is the worst possible moment to cash in now and we have no prolific scorers left...

I m still undecided what would harm us less and i wanted to hear more opinions about that...
I know you are against getting Cassano but how would you feel when he is lined up with Zlatan and another world class forward at Inter?

How do you suggest we cope with them?
If Inter is determined to buy Cassano, or another valuable forward, we cant stop her.
We cannot prevent Milan and Inter of acquiring the players they need, by buying them ourselves. We simply cannot afford that.
I see no point on that. Esp if they dont serve our needs! We dont have the luxury for that, we have our own problems and priorities! We should rather secure the players we need.
I wish they would buy Cassano, because he is the typical flop they buy every now and then.
Mourinho will not tolerate Cassano's current behavior
(it is said that he is only appears to the trainings, when/if he is in the mood...)
Inter always have alternatives and dont have the patience to give a second change.
Many players have flopped because of that and Cassano has the ideal profile!! Plus that he is Italian!! Imagine bringing a real player instead(Drogba):frown:
I def wouldnt want to see that. But if they are determined and have the available funds. We cant do anything about. At any case, with this current squad as basis, we cannot challenge Inter for the title next year. We should now focus on our issues, we have wasted too much time already...

Well, I'd find it hard to see David going but it might be his decision as well.It seems that he can't really stand our coach and who knows whats behind it.Lippi seems close to us and he wouldn't sell Iaquinta.

Cassano can offer us much as long as he stays in this normal state. He'd add some amazing vision and creativity while playing behind Amauri (and let's face it, if Cassano made Pazzini look like a top class striker imagine what would he do here with Amauri).Maybe we're also looking ahead when we're planning to sell Trez, I mean, maybe we do think to change our formation and play with 1 striker where Trez can't be much effective. It can be all up to Trez if he really wants to leave or stay next to Ranieri. If Cassano comes I'd like him to play next to Giovinco because I think they can play well together.

It all seems so simple. Even if we stick with the 4-4-2, there should be no real problems fielding a much improved lineup.

Buffon
Lichtsteiner - Cannavaro - Chiellini - Moli/DC/Criscito
Camoranesi - Marchisio - Sissoko - Giovinco
Amauri - Cassano

Manninger
Legro
Mellberg
Grygera
Guberti/Arda
Marchionni
Salihamidzic
Poulsen
Zanetti
Iaquinta
Del Piero

And that's if we're being stingy. We could afford another defender or midfielder, or even keep Trezeguet.

Here's a question.

If Ranieri will stay on for at least another year, what do you lot think about having Cassano on the team? We all know that the player is a ticking time bomb, so if he explodes will Ranieri be able to handle him?

Or will having Cassano on the team force Ranieri to be a hardliner with the squad, and thus actually improve the team by doing so?

i think we have already shown this year that our BOD and coach are incapable of handling/managing player outbursts. things just aren't handled the way the used to be round these parts

For starters.. I'm not sure anyone can handle Cassano once he's exploded. On another note I'd be happy to have Cassano at this point. The Diego deal just seems to be getting colder and colder, Silva doesn't want to come here, let alone leave Spain, and Ribery is only a dream.

Right about now I would be more then happy for Cassano. He's shown he's matured(although not completely) and he's back to his best, or thereabouts. Cassano-Amauri :agree:
