Im dont believe that Juve directors will sell Delpiero to Milan, at least not this season. IMO,from Moggi point of view, If a forward leave (apart from Miccoli), it would be Mutu. If Mutu is sold, I'll blame Capello more than I would Moggi because its a known fact that Moggi is an ardent admirer of Adrian. It would be a general consensus to make such a sale, but one that would be initiated by Capello. Frankly though, it would be insipid to sell Mutu, if Milan are willing to meet our asking price for Del Piero. Dp must go, and he must go now for the good of Juve and for his own good as well. If he stays here hes not going to be on the plane to Germany, thats for sure, and I think he knows that. And so does Ancelotti.

PS: Axl, we praising him more than the gods isnt really the case anymore. I think with such a good batting line up we can actually live without Tendulkar, and there is a gradual acceptance of the fact that he will retire sooner or later, and it wont hurt as much as it would've maybe 4-5 years ago. But as of now, we're way off form, I think Chappell will have done a tremendous job by the time the World cup comes around.

No doubt the man has talent. And yes he is an amazing player.

But there are many reasons why in my eyes he isnt a legend.

The petty reason is that his fans (similar to DP) worship him more than any god. Creating stupid arguements and defences for their men. This winds me no end.

Another reason is that to me, imho, a legend has to do something heroic and tendulka hasnt imho.

But im biased, im an Akram fan

I disagree. The fact is, he's going to make the world record for the most number of runs his own. He is untouchable on his day, and I dont say that in defense of him, because I've always been a bigger fan of Vinod Kambli who unfortunately threw it all away very early in his career. You'd have it wrong if you felt that Sachin enjoys the kind of worship that he used to nowadays, because like i said, its dawned on most, that Sachin is slowly but surely going to be coming to the end of his illustrious career. Tendulkar is too good not to be given the tag of legend, although I'd have to say you do have a point when you say he has to do something heroic, because in most matches when we really need him he more often than not fails. Yes, he's displayed some spectacular ability in trying times, I could never forget against Australia in Sharjah in 97, and I dont think they would either. But if I were to choose someone with more ability in that sense, I'd have to say more than Lara and Tendulkar, Steve Waugh (retired) would be my pick.
As for Wasim Akram, that guy is no doubt right up there with the greats. Always been one of my favourites, and even though Axl may disagree with me, I'd consider Wasim to be a better bolwer than Imran Khan.

no baggio i dont disgaree with you on the wasim thing.wasim was better than imran khan.imran khan is considered to be the greatest captain we ever had,and easily the finest all rounder we ever produced.
but in terms of bowling ability,i dont think there's anyone who can match wasim.
even though im a waqar younis fan,wasim's class is unmistakable.
though i doubt wether wasim woudlve have developed into the legend he is today unless imran had not fine tuned him very early in his career.imran probably had the biggest impact on wasim's career.
its a perfect example of a professor teaching the student a subject,and then the student going on to become more intelligent than the professor.

I think you need to cut him some slack. Im sure you have the right to opinion as far as you're own favourites go, but it would be unfair to not term Sachin a legend. Yes you did get me right though, I think Sachin is the king of domination when it comes to batsmen vs bowlers. He's got every stroke in the book and more. Its unfortunate like you rightfully said, Dravid infact is the go-to guy when the chips are down, but even he would only take a backseat on a day Sachin performs, that's all I'm trying to say. As for him being Pepsi's number one ambassador, I dont see nothing wrong with him being marketed like that? If the man has talent, why wouldnt you want to associate yourself with him? Having said that, I wouldnt call him the Beckham of cricket, because he actually stands more for the game than just an icon for his style or flamboyance. And unlike Beckham, I think Sachin has his priorities right, he knows whatever happens, cricket and India always come first.


Axl, you're right about Waqar as well, his inswinging yorkers were unplayable, but I think Wasim had tremendous personality on the pitch which made him more feared than Waqar on it, and more loved than him off it. Imran may have been Pakistan's favourite all rounder if you can call him that, but I think he speaks too much for his own good, and he's better suited to politics for that reason. My favourite from that category, like I said, is Wasim: pure class.

Calciomercato are reporting that Cassano will be sold by Roma because he's not agreed to Sensi's ultimatum of signing a new contract. And Milan are ready to make a shock move for him, but Cassano wants Capello. Juve, they say are ready to move in with a sale for Tudor that gives them some much needed cash for the deal.
