AS Roma striker Antonio Cassano is ready to accept a new contract proposal.

Despite reports on Thursday that his agent, Beppe Bozzo, had walked out of talks over a new deal, it's emerged Cassano is prepared to accept terms.

Roma's offer is for five years and worth £2.5 million-a-year. It falls well short of Cassano's original demands, but the striker has been assured that if an acceptable offer arrives, Roma won't block him from moving on - even as early as August.

the fans have disrespected him too much for him to even consider staying.
imagine 80.000 people at the olimpico booing everytime cassano touches the ball.
