I like Mancini as a player, but I fail to see what he's gonna bring in the team with the current form of Camoranesi.

Will he be moved back as a full back, or is it all part of a change in tactics to a 4-3-3. Something like:

----------------Gigi----------------------
-----Thuram--Canna--Kovac(?)-----
Mancini-------------------------Zambro
------Camo------Emo-------Nedved-
---------Zlatan-------Cassano--------
---------------Trezegol-----------------

We could then have more defensive tactics by replacing Camo or Nedved by Gianni or Appiah. the latter one could even play a more offensive role that some of you asked.

And, 5 forwards isn't too much in such a tactic.

Yeah, as espectro said there is one extra player- If i was you i would move kovac away.

The only critism I have is playing such an offensive sideback like Mancini next to camo, but otherwise its really good!

oh come on. How can a 12 player line up be good? And if you move Kovac away, you're having a 2 man defence??

Ok, I'll try again:

------------------Gigi--------------
------Thuram-canna-kovac------
Mancini---------------------Zambro
------------Emo------Nedved-------
-----Zlatan--------------Cassano--
------------------Trez-----------------

and... surprise: No camo!

Well the idea is that Mancini and Zambrotta then play fullbacks.

Moggi: Cassano? Yes, But, No...
6/22/2005 5:00:00 PM
The most powerful man in Italian football, Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi, has confirmed Juve are interested in signing Roma starlet Antonio Cassano, but then added the Bianconeri don’t have the money Roma want in exchange for the player’s services.
The Cassano rumours aren’t fantasy stories. We are interested in signing the player, but unfortunately we don’t have the economic resources to do so,” Moggi told Italian television station Telelombardia.

“Roma aren’t looking for players, they want cash from Cassano’s sale,” he added.

Reports from Italy indicate Roma are looking to gain 20 million Euros from Cassano’s sale, while Juventus don’t want to spend more than 10 million cash plus two players worth a total of 5 mil.

Come on Moggi end this plz :down:

Cassano ‘too expensive’ for Juve Wednesday 22 June, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Italian champions Juventus claim they don’t have the funds necessary to buy Antonio Cassano from Roma.

Transfer guru Luciano Moggi has finally confirmed that the Giallorossi ace is a target, but the capital club’s asking price is just too expensive.
"We don’t have the economical possibility to buy Cassano," Moggi told Tele Lombardia on Wednesday.

"The newspaper stories that we are interested in him are true but there is a small problem – money."

Cassano, whose contract expires in 2006, will leave the Stadio Olimpico this summer and Roma reportedly want around £15m.

"We need to get used to buying players on free transfers, as we have up to now," continued Moggi.

"A club can admire a player at another club without having the necessary means of buying him."

It now remains to be seen whether Moggi is being realistic, or simply ‘bluffing’ as he has done on so many occasions in the past.

However, if Juve do pull out of the Cassano chase, then Inter and Real Madrid could join the queue for the Italian.

Juventus have signed two players so far this summer in the form of Robert Kovac from Bayern Munich and Lazio’s Giuliano Giannichedda.

Both arrived on free transfers, as did Adrian Mutu who was brought in during the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Moggi will meet with Fiorentina on Friday in an effort to resolve the futures of Fabrizio Miccoli, Enzo Maresca and Giorgio Chiellini. All three are currently co-owned by both clubs.
