The latest news is that Roma want either Mutu or Appiah apart from the cash. So Appiah is the latest player to be linked.

Anyway Moggi will meet the Roma guys tomorrow during the Lega meeting and maybe they decide something hopefully. Cassano will meet the Roma directors along with his agent on Thursday (the meeting was supposed to be today but it was moved back).

So maybe by the end of this week we should have a done deal. I hope so cos then Cassano can be paraded during our summer tour, something which obviously was not possible with Zlatan last season.

Cassano-Roma Meeting Moved Back
6/21/2005 11:25:00 AM

This could be the decisive week for the transfer of the young forward to Juventus.
Antonio Cassano and Roma’s meeting to clarify the transfer situation was scheduled to occur on Tuesday afternoon, but due to other commitments it will now take place on Thursday.

Along with Cassano, there will also be his agent, Giuseppe Bozzo, and the two of them are expected to meet with Rossella Sensi to discuss what will happen in the coming days.

The Giallorossi and Bianconeri are in fact likely to close the deal by the end of this week as Roma will receive 15 million Euros plus either Mutu or Miccoli and the co-ownership of the young defender Masiello.

Mutu or Appiah on a loan deal? Co-ownership? or complete ownership?

Beats me...I guess that's probably the main knot of the situation since the reports suggest that the 15 million Euro cash is something both sides agree about.

i think roma will be given complete ownership of mutu.and appiah might go there on loan.
roma wud only have nonda and montella if cassano is sold/..so i think they do want complete ownsership of another forward.

I'm really not sure what to believe at this point. Giraudo says that Cassano isn't coming but we've heard these kind of comments only to sign said player a week later before, but I'm beginning to wonder if this is a smokescreen.
