And Cassano's situation could be one more smokescreen.Moggi and Capello know very well what we need right now.We are not the club which buys players they don't need.We never bought a player in position were we were full.We are not real or inter to say <<Oh he is a big player.Let's buy him>>.The board know that we need a creative midfielder and I'm sure they work for that.So thay could buy a new attacking midfielder and maybe Gilardino.Be sure guys whatever we say our board will make the right desecions. They are not blind and they know the team better than all of us.So they won't spend without a reason. As we know we are not the biggest spenders in the market

Giraudo: Cassano Is Not Coming!
6/20/2005 6:25:00 PM
The Juventus directors keep on denying the arrival of the young Roma forward.
The Bianconeri’s Administrator, Antonio Giraudo, has categorically rebuffed the speculation that Antonio Cassano is on his way to Turin as he believes that Juventus do not need any more forwards upfront.

“Cassano is a champion, a lad with a great future, but right now the Juve attack line is well covered. We have already made three important purchases: Kovac, Mutu and Giannichedda.”

However, Giaraudo still left the door open for a possible important ‘surprise’ transfer that the Old Lady might still reserve to its fans.

“If we had the possibility of making another important transfer that might strengthen Juve, we wouldn’t hold back,” declared Giraudo.

Agreed, IMO Cassano is a smokescreen to get Chivu.

I dont agree. Im pretty sure Cassano is coming, and the details being ironed out are not just for his future, but one of his defending teammates as well. Thats what it really is. So Cassano is not a smokescreen, he's on his way according to me, but with who else is the question?

Why would Giraudo blow our cover by saying we're not buying Cassano? That would obviously get the media thinking, that its somebody else Moggi is in Rome for (besides Rosella). According to me, that statement was made to avoid a bidding war with Madrid who seem to be keeping an eye on the situation.

Juventus have moved to dismiss growing speculation that they are on the verge of signing Antonio Cassano from Roma.

Stories in the peninsula insist that the transfer could be completed this week, but the Italian giants have rubbished that claim.

"Cassano is undoubtedly a little champion, a player with great potential," said chief operating officer Antonio Giraudo.

"However, I have to admit that we have five international forwards in our squad right now. We are well covered in that department."

Although the official claimed that the Italian wouldn’t be arriving, he failed to close the door on a big name swoop.

"Up until now we have made three important signings in the shape of Robert Kovac, Giuliano Giannichedda and Adrian Mutu," he added.

"If we get the opportunity to strike big in the market then we won’t hold back if it means strengthening Juventus."
